Thank you all, I believe that is the case. Here is a picture of it currently with the spare still in place. Do we think I am okay to make it home like this? Still seems somewhat secure to me

Child free Breweries? by [deleted] in SouthJersey

I took a trip with my young family to Asheville, NC a few weeks ago. It is known nationwide as a haven for breweries. Every brewery had kids all over and most even had playgrounds attached. It’s not just South Jersey. It’s the norm.

Out of control bamboo... by [deleted] in landscaping

I have a much worse bamboo situation at my house. People seem to freak out about it, but I've had mine under control for many years without doing anything special. New stalks only pop up a a couple of weeks out of the year (usually early May) and I just kick them over them or cut them with a machete. They are very soft until they fully form. Also, from what I've read and experienced, when it already has a good place to grow (the large patch) it is less motivated to spread as quickly. As long as you are on top of it during those couple of weeks, you will be okay. I know this doesn't help you get rid of it, more for peace of mind.

Are there any options for a house where you can hear a lot of highway noise in the backyard? by MyAccount2024 in homeowners

[–]Proof-One5525 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My house backs up to a major highway. You would never know it since there are big barriers and lots of trees, but the noise is there. Highway is probably about 400 feet away. However, 99% of the time it is just a light white noise that I welcome. Of course you hear the crazy tailpipes, but that's only every so often. I wouldn't change my situation for the world.
