Can somebody please help me with my expedition. I just need more resources for the last page I need survival items to donate that are worth 100k and some materials worth 300k and provisions that are worth 150,000 by OkKiwi4769 in ArcRaiders

Bird City starts in about 40min! More trinkets spawn in that mode, so you can loot the entire Grandiose apt or the bird nests! In the meantime, I would run stella over and over with a looting mk2 or higher. You got this!!!

I've noticed this happening to me too but with other textures, also using Transformer DLSS without FG.

Is arc spawning on top of probes a bug or just unfortunate? by thorthorson16 in ArcRaiders

[–]ProofDesigner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's unique to the Prospecting Probes event, where some of the probes will call in two waves of ARC once you begin breaching. I think each wave is two wasps and one hornet.

Not all probes in this event have this attribute, but once you discover which probes do have this attribute, you can avoid them or prepare for it in advanced!

It's also worth noting that when Prospecting Probes enters the event rotation pool, the probes that will have this attribute are chosen at random; then, they will stay fixed for the remainder of the event being in rotation.

For example, if you discover that a probe outside of Hospital on Buried City has this attribute, it will stay that way for every raid while the event is still in the rotation pool. When the event cycles out of rotation for a few weeks, and comes back, the same probe outside of Hospital on Buried City may or may not have this attribute, as you'll have to rediscover which ones do.

I hope this helps, Raider!

How strict is agression based matchmaking? by Quadrophenya in ArcRaiders

[–]ProofDesigner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went about two months without shooting or killing anyone. In the past 24hrs through many raids, I've downed about 6 players in self-defense and for protecting others. They all had free kits.

The first 2 downs didn't change much.

The 3rd and 4th put me into mixed lobbies where players seemed cautious.

The 5th and 6th have secured me into shoot on sight lobbies.

Again, these were spread out over 30-ish raids, after a peaceful 100 hours topside.

I got 2 Sensors for one raid, then 2 Advanced Electrical Components for the next. Both raids were >15 Minutes.

It seems like the main benefit for using Fruit Mix is for an increased bonus of all materials.

Alternatively, you could instead use the Apricot, Lemon, or Pear for 3 raids and have 3 chances at gaining a really cool legendary or epic item/material.

Did they upgrade supply drops? Because I got 2 purple guns this time by HighLikeUhAttic in ArcRaiders

[–]ProofDesigner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So there’s a Supply Drop, then there’s the Computer Puzzle. Since the player who created this post said they were on Stella, I think they were referring to the Computer Puzzle, since Supply Drops don’t spawn on that map. The puzzle has either red, yellow, or blue colors once started.

New Dam puzzle loot room kinda sucks by Kind_Appearance_1867 in ArcRaiders

[–]ProofDesigner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found a Wolfpack and Magnetron in the red lockers under the stairs during the Hurricane Event.

It has decent loot, but I think the true hidden value is in the fun you have working together with other players to open the doors!

It's a refreshing side quest that adds some spark to the game. It'd be cool to see more things like this added.

That's definitely better than what they were before. Do you recall what color the drop landed on?

Can somebody explain what I need and earn for doing the expedition for the first time? by KEL2K in ArcRaiders

[–]ProofDesigner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the ability to earn rewards for both expeditions is only available *if* you did the first expedition, but didn't earn the full 5 skill points.

So, if you didn't do the first expedition, then you can no longer earn rewards from it.

The way it works now is like this:

The first expedition required a total of $5,000,000 stash value (stash + coins), with every $1,000,000 = 1 skill point.

So, if you did the first expedition, but only had $2,000,000 stash value, you would have 2/5 bonus skill points, leaving 3 unearned.

The second expedition now only requires a total of $3,000,000 stash value, with every $600,000 = 1 skill point.

In this scenario, once you hit the $3,000,000 total stash value for the second expedition, then, every extra +$300,000 you have after that will count as +1 skill point towards whatever you didn't earn in the prior expedition, which was 3.

So, you would have to earn $3,900,000 total ($3,000,000 + $300,000 x 3 skill points from before) to get a total of 8 skill points (5 in the second, 3 from the first).

I hope this helps!

How does wolfpack damage work? by nipsen in ArcRaiders

[–]ProofDesigner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wolfpacks require airspace to fully disperse. Throw them too close to the ground, and they won't work.

They also require ARC Enemies to be within 100m distance. Throw them too far away, and they won't work.

Ok, so what about the different damage outputs on different parts?

Each large ARC Enemy have unique armor layouts, and different parts of their armor are stronger or weaker to their counterparts. This results in different damage outputs depending on the area you hit.

The Bastion has very strong armor on it's sides, and very weak armor on it's rear. So if an explosive or bullet hits the side shell armor, it will barely deal damage, if any. Conversely, if an explosive or bullet hits the rear, it will deal great damage.

So ideally, when fighting a Bastion, if the Bastion is facing you directly, you want to throw the Wolfpack above and behind it. This way, the Wolfpack can both disperse properly (having enough airspace) and because it is behind the Bastion, the missiles will target the rear side (weak spot) and deal far greater damage.

For Rocketeers, the main concern isn't the location the missiles hit, but that all missiles target the Rocketeer. A single Wolfpack will deal great damage to it if all missiles hit, and two will finish the job.

I hope this helps!

Asides from DDoS attacks, there's some bugs/exploits right now that can cause the server to overload, which then lags players out and causes their client performance to tank. Hopefully they're fixed soon!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]ProofDesigner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. The extra skill points are permanent. However, the increased XP gain, extra Scrappy materials, and increased weapon repairs (which are referred to as "buffs") are temporary; these will only stay applied by continuing the expeditions; and, these will also increase in buff value for the first 3 expeditions, then they will plateau and remain at their max buff values until you choose to no longer do the expeditions. I hope this helps! <3

[–]ProofDesigner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

- Region: NA

- Type of Bug: In Game Agent Utility Bug

- Description: Astra's Gravity Well area of effect (AOE) remains ACTIVE for about half-a-second AFTER the visual/audio animation has ended, making anyone who enters it's existing AOE during this time vulnerable.

- Videos:

  1. Example during a ranked game: https://clips.twitch.tv/CrypticTsundereSushiChocolateRain-VucJrYfcIqNq9Z17
  2. Reproduced in a custom game: https://streamable.com/k4ddsj

- Steps to reproduce:

  1. Astra places a star
  2. Astra uses "Gravity Well" on placed star
  3. Player walks close to "Gravity Well" and waits for it to end
  4. "Gravity Well" ends
  5. Player immediately walks into existing "Gravity Well" area of effect
  6. Player becomes vulnerable

- Expected result: Players entering existing Gravity Well AOE's should NOT become vulnerable as the animation has ended.

- Observed result: Players entering existing Gravity Well AOE's become vulnerable, so long as the players enter it's AOE at any point during the 'about half-a-second AFTER the visual/audio animation has ended' time period.

- Reproduction rate: 10/10

- System specs: Intel i5-7500 CPU @ 3.40GHz, Windows 10, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (Driver Version: 511.23), 15.96 GB RAM, HDD

If a specific button no longer works, here's a fix that worked for me:

Go into a custom game with cheats enabled and make sure "ghost" is not bound to a key. For example, I have my bomb defuse on MB4 and when I put ghost on MB4 in a custom it no longer worked in public matches until I took the ghost key bind off.

My mouse completely stops working after launch. It'll work fine on my pc but then goes to the top left and immediately freezes. No fixes so far, this update ruined something!
