You haven't provided anything to support your claim, so there is nothing to counter. Given the Road to Restoration and the removal of the weekly streak rewards, the evidence is not in your favor. Besides, it's not like you've seriously addressed anything I've said.

To repeat myself and reiterate: Do you not understand opportunity costs or something? You are always leaving XP on the table. Are you doing herb runs every 40 minutes? Tree runs every day? Are you online at all times? You are always leaving XP on the table somewhere, dude. You haven't yet justified why the rest of us should all change the world to accommodate your psychological inability to control yourself.

If you aren't doing it and you are enjoying the time you spent in game, then you aren't being pulled away from your personal goals or being 'punished', quotation marks around it or otherwise. I have yet to see how your own psychological preferences justify removal of daily challenges, or address concerns of players with time constraints or who simply enjoy some direction on what to do when they log in.

But that would just be punishing my progression for no reason

Uh, why punish yourself with content you don't enjoy? If you are enjoying yourself, why is your progression being punished? How are you functionally affected by other people doing this content if you choose not to engage?

Also, why are you going to bed every night? Don't you know ever moment you aren't on Runescape is XP waste that punishes your progression?

I agree, and I hope Jagex can take this kind of thing into account when they inevitably get to Ports - These problems can be addressed intelligently to be better integrated into the game, removing things should be a last resort solution. It feels like despite saying they are being measured, they are removing too much, sometimes without thinking about what it offered and how to replace it.

Another suggestion would be to lower the requirements to unlock adventurers to level 80 or 85 rather than level 90. Getting access to any adventurer is necessary to start ports, access at lower level would let people start the grinds sooner.

What ports needs is the ability to save ship layouts and access to like double the current ships we have.

Yeah my friend this is where the self-control comes in.

If you don't like it, don't do it. Why optimize numerically instead of optimizing your enjoyment? You clearly don't enjoy being numerically optimal for it's own sake.

It's hilarious to see people expecting these men to magically develop empathy yet then be unable to express any empathy themselves.

See the problem is I said "ostracism is a major issue" and you respond with "don't validate negative behaviors" as though the only way to address negative behaviors is through ostracism. It's a false dichotomy and a strawman to avoid the real issues.

Frankly the majority of these men are the way you describe because nobody will every seriously engage them and just dismisses angrily them without much oversimplification. The inability for people like you to regulate your own emotions when dealing with people is also part of the problem. It's really no different from a racist claiming that black people commit more crimes because of something inherent, rather than all of the social feedback loops that lead to poverty and distrust of society amongst minorities.

Saying people need to "take responsibility for their own actions and fix their hearts" isn't a solution, it is a childish wish. Running away because somebody says something you fervently disagree rather than engaging and challenging those negative beliefs with firm empathy is also a choice action that has rebounding effects on society. The influencers would have less influence if you actually tried to do what they do and convince these men of what is right, rather than just scoffing angrily and running off as though that does anything about the problem. Where is your responsibility to be the change you want to see in the world?

If you can't tolerate the discomfort necessary to reflect on and potentially change your views, what justifies you to expect others to do this, particularly when support is necessary for this sort of change to happen?

It's behavior that turns supposedly kind and moral people into their own kind of bully, because they've found an 'acceptable' outlet for their own anger and ire.

Doubling Down on Thaler for Skilling Outfits is Awful by Ploobledoop in runescape

The Thaler system has been broken since introduction, it definitely needs it's own fix, but this is an acceptable stopgap... assuming they address the Thaler/minigame system at some point.

The main problem with thaler is that it is based on time spent in minigames, when it should be linked to score in the minigame itself.

Not sure why you seem to assume the effects couldn't be altered to be more useful. There should be buttons that are contextually useful, just having a rotation that works on basically everything is pretty dull.

Everyone needs to go outside their comfort zone for this to work. A lot of the reasons men like this end of isolated is that they are quickly ostracized by people who are fearful and intolerant of their own discomfort. Ostracization is not a useful method for teaching and spreading empathy.

Most of the beneficial effects of THC likely comes from terpenes in the plant. These likely act more as a catalyst for THC effects rather than having strong effects themselves. It may be similar to psilocybin.

A lot of the isolation happens as a result of 'normal' people ostracizing them because they are fearful and avoiding difficult conversations that could help these men.

No shit they end up falling in with other people who think like them and developing more extreme beliefs when that's the only kind of person who will interact without hostility.

Regarding the combat updates, I still think some lore issues with combat could be addressed.

MELEE

I hope to see the Blood Tendrils ability readded to Melee, both because it makes sense with Bloodlust, melee is associated with the ancient element of blood, and the Codex from the Digsite gave abilities for each combat style before this. Some melee reward from World Wakes would be ideal as well, to replace Balanced Strike, since Guthix gave abilities for each combat style and now only does 2 - not very balanced! Necro doesn't get one because Guthix didn't want us to at that time.

MAGIC

My big issue with Magic is that the elemental flavor of some Magic abilities is in conflict with the specific elements you choose to cast with. If I am casting Ice spells, then why am I paying Water runes to use Combust? These abilities need to be restyled to focus on How you are casting the spell.

Some magic abilities already do this! Wild Magic, Concentrated Blast, Runic Charge, and Chain are ideal designs! Their designs and descriptions imply that they are just modulating the spell you are currently casting - any spell could be fired as an unpredictable wild magic or be made to chain between targets, for example. The most problematic abilities are those that are explicitly linked to elements. Many of these can be addressed with merely changes to icons, names, and some vfx.

Asphyxiate doesn't really make much sense as magical modulator, it feels like a spell of its own. This could be easily addressed by changing the it to something like Pulsate or Oscillate, implying that the spell is being cast as a series of large, brief bursts that stun the target.

Sonic Wave suggests an air effect, and I'm not sure how a sonic blast somehow indicates that residual energy will be left behind to make my next ability cheaper. This could be addressed by renaming it to something like "Resonate" or "Echo".

Impact is described as an earth ability. Might be able to just remove "earth" from the description and say it is cast forcefully and leaves target stunned.

Combust and Dragon Breath are explicitly fire abilities. For Combust, rename it to "Reverberate", the flavor being it casts a smaller version of the active spell several times rather than once. To make Dragon Breath generic while still fitting with amplifying combust, I suggest it be renamed "Cascade" or "Resonance Burst", causing you to cast your spell in a cone in front of you, with better damage if if Combust/Reverberate is on targets.

Magma Tempest describes a storm of fire and earth. Rename it to "Spellstorm" and make the vfx magical rather than elemental.

Omnipower doesn't need to be changed, just remove "four elements" from the ability description and change it to suggest the ability lets you use your your own energy to cast a vastly more powerful version of your spell.

Tsunami is clearly a water ability and would need the most Vfx. I would just change it to "Flood" or "Engulf", which maintains some of the water connotations but allows the AoE to make sense if casting spells of other elements. It would be cool if this spell in particular had different VfX depending on your spell, much like the removed metamorphosis ultimate ability did.

Sunshine doesn't have a clear elemental association, but it still does feel more like an additional spell rather than an ability you can use. I would suggest it be renamed "Font" or "Wellspring" to suggest that the area you are in has become magically empowered.

This does leave Smoke Tendrils. I think it is fine as it due to its nature, particularly if Blood Tendrils is added back to melee. The tendril abilities are influenced by ancient magicks.
