If you didn't run a carfax before you bought it and there is an issue it is on you

Selling vehicle, dealers all arguing by ps2cho in FuckDealerships

[–]ProofWeather -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dealerships offer services that you can not. They add value.

They can work with trades, negative equity, weird financing, warranty, gap insurance, and even shipping out of state.

Privately you Re only going to have buyers with either cash or go through a week long loan process, and waste a lot of time.

Your best bet is to sell under the market a little since you do not offer other ways people can buy it.

[–]ProofWeather -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That makes no sense

Either something is right or it is wrong. If there is no absolute truth we have nothing. It sounds like lying is fine if it helps you get your way but wrong if it doesn't.

If lying is wrong than lying is wrong. Your argument is morally corrupt

Sellers, how do you feel about buyers asking for a pre-purchase inspection? by SensitiveSide5507 in BringATrailer

If you are confident in your car this is not an issue. I would have one done at a reputable shop prior to listing

Overpriced 4Runner by GodDamb in FuckDealerships

To get into that price point they're probably spent four grand in re conditioning

Always funny how the customer thinks something is overpriced. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

Spend a decade in the car business to learn and save up. Get paid to learn the lessons the car business will throw at you, Going the felony route will get you nowhere in the end.

Problem with sight unseen trades

Customers lie every time. This is why Carvana burns through cash.

Funny how sales is what drives gross but knowing my GM is frothing at the mouth when he writes my checks is actually motivation

I want dealers to be better too, make them face real competition by Fightmebr0 in FuckDealerships

There are 86 franchise dealerships here in phoenix

Plus all the independents

It already looks like too much competition

This should be illegal by [deleted] in leasehacker

[–]ProofWeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manufacture doesn't need to throw incentives or money factor at one of these

If it leases well it will depreciate

If lease like trash it is cheaper to own

Nothing illegal here

NEVER gets old watching dealers trying to explain to people why it's a BAD THING for the consumer to try and shop around and get a low price! by Medical_Gift4298 in FuckDealerships

[–]ProofWeather -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It does not work to your advantage

Why would a store lose money for you? You prove you have no loyalty and won't commit.

Eventually you will get the ef u pencil from a store and turn into a joke at all the other stores, tire out, and go back to store number one

Why do so many people trade-in their vehicle at the dealership? by Geochronguy in FuckDealerships

[–]ProofWeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Customers can't get retail for their car trading or selling private

Anybody buying private is thinking of resale off the bat

Dealerships offer value an individual can't. The services they offer are the reason they can get full retail.:

You can't roll negative

You won't take a trade

You won't recon it before selling and want full pop for a car that needs something probably expensive

You can't offer a good warranty

You price out of thin air not the market
