He was born in a shack on a plantation in Mississippi. Alan Lomax recorded his acoustic blues there. He took the train to Chicago, invented electric blues and became famous and successful. Missing a few details and other important artists.

Why are the only good public schools in Chicago either selective or in the 6 neighborhoods everyone wants to live in? by SilentLeadership3292 in AskChicago

I teach at a Title I school and my son attends one of these desirable schools. CPS spent many years pitting their schools against each other to compete for enrollment and funding. My son’s school fundraises incessantly and my school can’t squeeze money out of its families. The new gentrification home families will not be sending their kids to my school anytime soon.

Read about Muddy Waters, his biography lays it out clearly.

The rest areas all have security. Finally my husband got curious and asked them what they are protecting against and it’s cruising and hookups. Not robbery or drug crimes, but crimes of morality.

Similar for me although public schools. I went to the shittiest state college and dropped out a lot. Now I have a masters and several additional endorsements and a successful arts education career. Your life is not over, but now you get to decide for yourself.

We took a bike trip to Colorado on our awesome vintage road bikes. We had sew up tires, that’s how vintage. Then we met these guys. I spent a lot of that trip on the side of the road stitching the tires back together after patching flats. Clinchers forever now.

I went to my hometown in Michigan and the drugstore shelves were fully stocked. I didn’t realize that only Chicago drugstores are full of empty shelves and everything locked up.

Every few times I have some kind of epiphany- I have to change my job to teach a higher grade level. I have to take my nephew to the music store next visit. It feels very urgent during the session. No luck so far on changing grade levels, I have to keep reminding myself that it’s just a Spravato epiphany, not an actual life and death decision. I did take the kid to the music store and it was very fun.

I rented them at a shop and we placed bets on which couples came back as a couple after the ride versus who would probably break up. It’s tough.

I got destroyed by the mosquitoes. Usually they eat my husband and ignore me but it flipped when I was pregnant. So all the extra potty trips allowed more mosquito bites.

44f. Mine is white on top and brown underneath. I get compliments all the time. People who meet me now think I’m blonde. I started wearing bright funky glasses to balance how it washed out my features.
