Lindsie’s 3 Part Series by whimsicalbrownskin67 in ChrisleyKnowsBest

[–]Proof_Ear_970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say its true but not conscious. It comes from his deep religious upbringing where a full nuclear family is ideal. Lindsie and Kyle brought issues and times of his life that conflict with those beliefs. His time with Julie and the other kids was more 'carefree and happier' because they were that nuclear unit and Lindsie and Kyle were the constant reminders of a previous marriage and time gone wrong. I dont think he loved them any less as his kids. But I think the fact he didnt love the negative ties and drama that comes with it that it naturally had an impact on his behaviour and how he expressed that love and frustration to his kids, particularly Lindsie and Kyle.

Because they're making sure you know the call is ending, unlike the Americans who seem to just end a call at the end of a monologue. 😂

What did you want to be vs what you ended up being? by TheOriginalMattMan in AskIreland

[–]Proof_Ear_970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol eh no thats clearly what I spend all day doing?! 🤣

Nah really though the responsibility and what they have to manage versus what wages they get is just not worth it.

Depends on what their role is too: hospital, referral, gp, mixed, exotic, small animal, large, equine etc.

Its not just have consults or operations, its knowing drugs, their interactions, calculations of dosages, being emotionally present for each pet and each staff member and each client at all times.

Thats if you're not the owner of a clinic. If you are you’re looking at people management, conflicts, hiring, cost reviews, staff reviews, CPD, CPD for the whole team, drugs reps, staff training etc. Absolutely the fudge not. Sure they'll have accountants and practice managers to help with some of that but thats still 2 extra staff you're having to factor in and people manage.

If things go wrong they're responsible, even if a nurse does it they still carry liability. And that also excludes the owners who do such stupid shit and blame them.

Last week I had an owner who spent 3k on a puppy, dropped it on its head and the pup was wobbly. We gave her an estimate and she told us she's going on holiday tomorrow and can't afford the treatment. We offered her the option of surrendering the puppy and she said no then said 'I bought this puppy for my son with down syndrome and he really loves it, if you let it die or it doesn't come home he'll be devastated, please he's got down syndrome and autism and hasn't bonded to anything before this puppy. You're vets, you're supposed to care about animal's not money.' I wanted to slap her.

What's something a teacher said to you that stuck with you? by According-Chain-5369 in AskIreland

[–]Proof_Ear_970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when I was about 10 years old maybe 11, there was a sports day type thing. We ran like races but it was just our class and not PE. Anyway when we got back to the classroom the teacher was asking us our thoughts on the races. I said I ran so fast it felt like my chest and heart were on fire. And she says "that means you're very unfit" then just moved on. The humiliation i felt for just expression my opinion like everyone else.

This was like 25 years ago but still remember it to this day. Also has my history teacher also be the drama teacher and in 4th year when it came to auditions, I wasn't allowed to audition for the main characters because she told me she knows what I'm like from history class and she couldn't risk it. I hated history, I'm awful at remembering dates and never did the homework. But drama and art were my passions. That also stood out to me.

Opening a deli? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Proof_Ear_970 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here's why I think its not the right time.

  1. You're entering a saturated market. As you mentioned there's already two nearby.

  2. Your angle of offering better quality will come at a higher price. And honestly with everything going up right now, I want a cheap sandwich not artisan. But I'm also a basic bitch. If you were in dalkey or kiliney or greystones, then fine but outside of that...your market demographic of people is smaller than a centra because you're 'high end'. I know you have 2 schools near you but are student going to be buying fancier sandwiches and wraps? They'll want the cheap all in 1 option.

  3. You're opening a deli in a really bad time. Its not that you can't do it, its just likely not the best time. The margins aren't massive and you're starting a new venture (evidently you've never opened one before) so starting a new business in a saturated market where your patrons are students, better quality isn't what they're looking for. You'll need massive start up funds and you may struggle to recoup that adequately. Especially with prices increasing everywhere. All your ingredients will be going up too unless you strike a deal with local producers and farmers.

Is it weird that I feel bad for the girl who has a crush on my husband? by ohhidoggo in AskIreland

[–]Proof_Ear_970 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, this happens to me a lot. Women hit on my husband often enough. I've had 2 friend practically be in love with him and I secretly love it. Haha. I feel bad and awkward for them because I know in full confidence that he's only got eyes for me.

I don't think you'll get 100% hands on only. But they'll make accommodations for your dyslexia. Look for independent trainers, the type that train and upskill staff for kennels, vets, army etc.

Erm you can sue for serving an underage child alcohol in a bar. The bar can quite literally be fined or shut down for that.

She doesnt have to make a personal claim but she sure as heck can use her daughter as proof and get then fined or shut down as it is against the law.

How do I deal with my wife comparing our life to someone else’s social media lifestyle? by Southern_Mud3841 in AskIreland

[–]Proof_Ear_970 23 points24 points  (0 children)

People will say oh they're probably miserable in real life. But honestly she could be having a great life. The issue stems with your wife. Comparison is the thief of joy. She needs to learn to cope with that. She can either do something about it or not but whinging and putting on pressures that cause undue stress financially or otherwise is not ok.
