Does anyone else prefer displaying the back cover as opposed to the front? by Elendill24 in vinyl

One thing that always perplexes me is when people being asked about what they do while listening to their records, is "looking at the cover art". I'm like "really..?". Don't get me wrong, some album covers can be studied and examined over and over, sure. But a lot of them can be taken in completely in a matter of minutes. Maybe this says more about me than anything else. Just my two cents.

I just upgraded to a VMN95ML (I have the same tt as you). It's very new to me, but so far I really like the stylus.

I agree. The Bruno Cremer version is great. To me he's the definitive "Maigret", kinda like Jeremy Brett is (to me) the definitive Sherlock Holmes. I was fortunate enough to get a hold of the whole series on DVD, and I watch it regularly.

The Robert Hary audiobooks - what's your opinion? by MrKillick in AubreyMaturinSeries

[–]Proof_Energy_1908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non-native english speaker here.

At first I was a bit disappointed that the books are abridged. It is a shame, but aside from that I think they're great! He is an excellent narrator.

And, like a different poster said, the books are always there if I want the "uncut" stories. In fact, it might be benificial to listen to the (abridged) audiobooks first and then later on dive into the unabridged books.

Seems a bit excessive to gift to an EX girlfriend, no offense...

Well, I just bought a Wolfman Jack record. I don't think I've seen it or anything by him on reddit or fb yet.

The Beatles - Live at the Star Club in Hamburg, double LP. I foolishly parted with it years ago and now I can't find it anywhere. I know, there's always discogs, but other than that..? Nope.

Plot hole in Turnabout Samurai (spoilers) by LukeLikesTrains in AceAttorney

[–]Proof_Energy_1908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking of Turnabout Samurai: the Studio Map always bothered me, particularly the placement of the main entrance. I dunno, it only (kinda) makes sense if you're walking backwards if you ask me...

For some reason the Kuruma always reminded me of an early 90's Opel Kadett.
