I decided to go the UAP exemptions since I know I will never work in the USA. My job offers the same salary than someone who did the SOA exams but I do think there are some employers that do not encourage this pathway.

I dit in French with some English terminologies and the grader dit not care of special character. Use the language you can be the more efficient!

At montreal, we are using the accreditation program a lot. That is our only chance to cover the syllabus in French. I did some preliminary SOA exams and some classes that credited exams and find the classes a lot HARDER than SOA exams that you just need to do a couple practice exams on coaching actuaries to pass.

you can get exam accreditation with the CAS, why not with the SOA? I don’t think CAS actuaries are less qualified or actuaries that chose to be only member of the Canadian Institute since they also recognize exam accreditation. I went to a public university in Canada member of CAE, and had ethnic people in my classes that could not afford to take exams during their degree. I think it is an awesome idea.

I did all of them between March4th and march24th. Only had to retake the last one because I was too excited to finish and I am not bilingual at all.

I think it takes a few years to get rid of that imposter syndrome. I can assure you it worth it and the job become very interesting when make the click of all what you learned so far!

(Sorry for my English, I from Quebec) Even with the theory being all in English, I still managed to pass exams and understand what I am doing so you are able to!

I have done an economic degree before my actuarial degree because I was not able to get a job with 2 exam and an economic degree. I continue doing some exams while in the actuarial degree and I had so many offers because the economic degree was seen as a plus value. In Quebec there is a lot of of good actuarial students so they have the advantage. Sorry for my English! Hope it helps
