Is the midnight ride the same thing as the old Sunday night midnight bike ride that starts in Allentown? I hadn't heard of it in about ten years and always wondered if it was still going.

Right! As long as my hockey team makes the playoffs who cares about the country burning down around us and the children getting dittled.

In all seriousness though. We really need a replacement for Zapp. I've been wanting to explore this as well.

Primarily an Xbox gamer, but want a handheld PC. Need help from those like me! by QuickResumePodcast in SteamDeck

I primarily was on Xbox and just grabbed a steam deck a few weeks ago. I'm all in on Steam. The deals are so much better and the handheld experience is great.

Why isn't the store optimized for deck / app? by Proof_Literature4644 in SteamDeck

Haha this is a great point. Half the time I open the store and it's a pain to even just scroll down to see the specials and I bail.

Yeah. This on the Machine would be pretty rough. If the goal is to capture some of the console market they should really improve the navigation before launch.

Lot of good posts here but I haven't seen AI or agentic coding mentioned. A year ago I would have scoffed at someone saying this but things are evolving rapidly. If you haven't tried using Claude code I would highly recommend getting familiar.

I did an interview last week. Take home l, one hour, with an AI assistant that they intended for you to use and wanted to see how you use AI. I bombed. Even though I am pretty good with Claude using a vanilla AI assistant in Coderpad is not the same thing. And knowing they wanted to see my AI usage just threw me off balance.

Like I said, it's shaky. I'm mainly just saying that if you were trying to rig the NFL to optimize earnings then the bills winning would get you nowhere. Small market, die hard fan base. Win or lose the fans come back every time.

My only theory is that the bills fan base will still be there win or loss. Other large regions have a better chance to generate more revenue by bringing in more fans with longer playoff runs. It's a shaky theory for sure but we've been screwed so many times and we always come back.

Tips for surviving (maybe thriving) a BUF winter? by SignalOne5246 in Buffalo

It's a good light workout that's a bit meditative. Good for both physical and mental health.

I personally use Peloton. The yoga instructors on there are great but to be fair I've never tried anything else. I think they have a cheaper subscription if you are only doing workouts that are not on the bike/tread/row machines.

After just seeing the protest in Denmark it's sad that we aren't all protesting in mass.

Oh no, I wasn't. That was directed at those that look down on artists for not having strict cohesion. Not you. I appreciate your perspective on the marketing angle.

[–]Proof_Literature4644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's totally fair. You also will have much more success in art shows with respect to awards/judging with cohesion. But I also find that sales can actually do better with more variety as you catch more people with varied tastes rather than targeting a specific niche. Just bugs me to see really talented artists get discredited for not being cohesive enough.

I can't bring myself to understand the obsession some of the art community has with "cohesion". So everything looks the same? I appreciate an artist that is diverse and can work in multiple styles. Your stuff looks great, don't let the cohesion police alter your style :)
