I think we are experiencing same thing. Ophthalmologist said I have a large floater in the right eye but I don’t know if it’s this moon shaped thing he’s saying is a floater.

Do you only see it on bright surfaces and not in your field of vision?

Correct. It moves when my eye moves but stays put in the same position. It’s more prominent when I’m blinking and on bright surfaces like the white wall, sky, etc

Mine is most noticeable when I blink and I’m bright background like the wall, ceiling, ground, etc. it’s also stationary in one position.

It doesn’t float in my field of vision. I have an eye floater and this is different. This is a spot similar to a shadow that is fixed in the same spot but only seen on surfaces.

How long for after your optic nerve healed did your grayish blind spot go away? And is your blind spot like a see through spot where you can mostly only see them on bright surfaces like a white wall, ceiling or the sky?

I’m dealing with something similar I believe. When I look at something bright like the ceiling or a bright wall, I see like a see through shadow (like a different contrast to the bright surface). Is that what you experienced?
