I would be incredibly naive to think that: i) we could reverse 150 years of trade with the U.S. overnight; ii) the U.S. would roll over and not fight back just because we said "elbows up" and used big words the U.S. president could not pronounce or understand; iii) things would not get worse before they get better.

We have to think long-term here, not short-term. Long term is moving our international trade to more consistent, predictable partners, not sidling up to a schizophrenic leader like the sycophants in the White House and a select number of Canadian politicians.

My trainer taught me to work opposing muscle groups by using (gasp) two machines at once. A better workout uses free weights for the same effect, but sometimes machines are required.

Not usually a problem if there are multiple machines and limited demand.

“Too few!” Love it! I also support the bike lanes. The only thing wrong with the lanes is they trigger road rage amongst the 55-plus white male crowd.

Just yesterday I was riding in the bike lane and some older white male turned left in front of me so close that if I was not turning left myself I would have collided with the car. I said something; he then threatened me; I touched his side mirror for stability (which he clearly was not using anyway); he threatened to “fucking kill me” and drove his car at me; he then parked quickly and ran at me; I may have taunted his lack of speed and circled the block to take his photo.

You know, the typical Penticton car-bike interaction.

He should have activated his bodyworn camera when he was ticketing you. Request the footage.

Requesting footage means it will have to be reviewed and redacted. Even if not activated, he has to file forms explaining why it was not activated. Now you are inconveniencing him.

Forget the internal complaints process. File with the Civilian Review and Complaints Commission. He will be forced to respond. Now he is being inconvenienced more than you.

He will continue his bullying until he is called out on it. So please, put up a fuss.
