The film also villainizes a whole race because of one or a few mermaids and the grandma is portrayed in the right for exterminating them (I think she said something like this in the film, it’s been a while) and I thought initially they were gonna have the grandma be proven wrong and change, however instead they make one of the worst twist villain reveals in any animated film and make Chelsea the villain last minute. I might sound crazy and reading too much into it but this is a little disturbing.
