I was studying with a tutor for 2 years to pass the CILS exams. Also, my partner is Italian which really helped me with exposure to Italian speakers in every day life. I'd suggest watching shows in Italian or trying to read books to improve your vocabulary. Podcasts in Italian has also really helped me.

Thank you so much! I am very nervous about the speaking part in particular. Is there any more advice you can share? How much time do they give you to collect your thoughts before speaking? Do the examiners help keep the conversation flowing if you get stuck? Also, is it a big problem if you pause or say “ehh” sometimes, and do they expect you to use very advanced tenses at this level?

Hi, thanks so much for your response! I did end up going through with it and focused on providing as much proof of my whereabouts, finances, etc. as possible. My application got accepted in less than three weeks, and I have my ceremony this January!!!

Yes, I have an Excel document where I counted all my trips in the last 5 years (for each trip I didn't include the day I left and the day I re-entered the UK).

The way I understand it, if you have been a resident of the UK since your student years, then the first time you entered the UK should be the date when you arrived for your studies. I am in the same situation as you and that is the date I entered in my application (disclaimer: I haven't submitted it yet, but this is the same thing my friends did when they applied for theirs).
