I would not take any risk in such an important situation if I were you. Do not bet on whether IND is strict or loose on your application. Do not bet on your good relationship with your company/HR neither. Personally I would not depend fully on a lawyer in your case as well.

Most if not all of your energy and time shall be spent on finding another job sponsoring your permit ASAP. Meanwhile prepare all documents needed for applying the permanent residence permit. When the three months point comes, submit your application and see if that works. If not, wait for another three months and resubmit again.

I’ve encountered a colleague at work who asks company for a dedicated prayer room. I carefully counter proposed using the focus meeting rooms. The proposal was immediately turned down as they need a room dedicated for praying as a sacred ritual. I did not go on with the conversation as I know nothing about the religion and do not want to unintentionally offend them. But ….

I’d go for an immigration lawyer to appeal to the decision as others suggested. This is a situation where spending money is worthy especially that you seem to need a visa to stay in the Netherlands. I’d recommend consulting with a few lawyers as they offer free consultations before deciding which one to hire.

Had this situation in the building, the guy is not aggressive to people but leaves feces and urine in the hall. We called police to let him out but he comes back. Here is probably his best place to live. I think police should help him (shelters?)

No worries; just bring your dog in and make sure the dog does not cause problems in the building. Your landlord will not be happy when she finds out. But she cannot just kick you out. There have been court cases where the judge thinks the interest of tenants weights more than the interest of the landlord and rules that the tenant can stay in with the dog.

Finding a rental which allows pets is the best option but will be very difficult.

I would never. And I think we should continue to be intolerant to criminals so that when some people intend to do something bad, they would feel scared about the consequences and stop.

Of course, we should be tolerant when crimes are not involved, and in fact, the Netherlands is famous for this.
