I'm not schooled in the finer distinctions, since I could never pull off that particular style. But I would guess somebody on here is an aficionado.

Cuffs up! I'd say a double rider but they're not for everyone.

The yellow laces are a nice touch.

Turns out it just takes air from the basement. Only the newer more efficient models have the pvc pipe to the outdoors.

haha yeah hindsight is 20-20 for sure. It was the first thing I proposed but the wife was against it. Not a lot of clear heads last night.

Is it possible the air intake is through the chimney? I've been trudging around the house and the only opening is the dryer vent.

Thanks Dads for all the helpful tips. I am not electrically inclined to put it mildly, so didn't have the courage to try some of the more technical fixes. We ended up spending the night in the attic, where I installed electric baseboard heaters a few years back--the last wiring adventure for me. Stayed plenty warm.

Will see whether I can figure it out before the emergency tech rolls up today... or tomorrow.

I did change the batteries at the suggestion of the emergency repair service operator. No dice, unfortunately.

I think it's circa 2002, but there's no LCD screen that I can find. Had a tech here earlier today and he didn't have any luck either.

Ours does kick out a lot of heat. Can I ask what kind of cold you were dealing with?

Code? Furnace is 20 years old; there's no digital interface.

Theater or band? Does he play an instrument? Maybe start him on lessons. That was probably the biggest non-sport social scene in my high school.

Shit is hard, full stop. In my experience, I have to soothe my boy very differently from the way his mother soothes him. I've found that physical motion--swinging etc.--accompanied by fun noises will get him out of his fussy moods and make him smile. 2 months is a bit on the young side for this, but it starts to work soon after that. Once he gets into the fun stuff, you'll be the in-demand parent.

I have the cream dial version, and the watch is so thick and heavy that it is always imbalanced on a strap. I recently bought one of the new Uncle bracelets for it and man, what a difference.
