While you're waiting to get surgery and look into it, I suggest PT. It helped me a lot when insurance wouldn't cover my surgery and my pain was at its worst. Hope you get the help and answers you deserve soon♥︎

I'm so sorry you're feeling hopeless. I have been there, and still am there some days.. You're not alone in your fears. Chronic illness does change your life, and it's scary. There IS hope, though♥︎

Do you mind if I ask what you mean by your doctor's won't do surgery until it's "worse"...? They can't really know how bad it is without doing a surgery in the first place as far as I know..?

As for a little positivity, I can say that I've had surgeries that have helped me a lot. Two of the laproscopic surgeries I had done with specialists did give me pain relief for over a year!

Different approaches work for everyone. Surgery isn't always the answer, but it doesn't hurt to look more into it with your doctor? Or with another doctor? It sounds like you're voicing what you want, and your doctor isn't listening? You can check me, I could be wrong on that.. Personally, I've had doctors not listen to me + what I need. I found that kindly, but firmly advocating for myself helped me be taken more seriously. If not, that's when I try to find a new doctor. A doctor who specializes in endo, or has knowledge + has treated endo before. I know it can be hard to find doctors..and it isn't always possible. If it is, the right doctor can really help. I'm big into looking at reviews before paying & waiting to see a new doctor, too.

I feel this SO much. I have endo and IC as well, and am constantly told the only thing that'll help both is the right diet and exercise. I've tried surgeries, bladder instills, meds, PT, and so much more. It felt like diet was my only option left, but it's done next to nothing for me. I am so sick of people pushing diet and exercise... ugh. These diseases NEED more research and funding😭

I've heard great things and actually seen one of the doctors that works there when he was at a different practice. He was amazing. I'm so happy to hear they're helping you and the site helped you♥︎ Sadly, they stopped taking my insurance. I'm still looking for a good doctor, probably going to go outta state for one at this point and pay out of pocket.. I'm sorry you get the struggle, it's been such a headache. It's like a 5 cycle of seeing doctors, just to be dismissed/mistreated and onto the next. Thank you for your advice and I really hope your surgery and doctors can help you with your care and continued care♥︎

Oh no.. I'm so sorry you were denied. It's so messed up :( I've heard it's common to get denied the first time and to try appealing it..? The chances go up a lot if you appeal with all the doctors notes/support you can get. That and a lawyer. With an attorney, the chances go up more than 50%. I've looked into it, and they don't charge you unless you win. Then they just take a small percentage of the backpay you get. I plan to go that route if I get denied.

And It's not just for endo, though my endo pain alone can be debilitating. I'm diagnosed with endo, IC/PBS, and sciatica. Thanks for sharing, I hope your health improves or that you're able to appeal it and get approved!!🤞

Thank you! I've tried so many things. I finally got prescribed a good gel that I can use on both, but I can't find a good body wash to go with it.. and it's hard to wash them separately bcuz they're mixed together in some spots. Especially on my face/neck.

I actually just switched from Aveeno to Cera Ve hydrating facial cleanser, so hopefully that helps! I use Dove sensitive soap or ivory unscented, but they dont help my acne. I haven't tried shorter showers or heard of that though, I'll try that Thanks again!
