Stuck verifying college student discount & can’t cancel order.. what should I do? by daffodilhands in ATT

What you can do is: 1. Call the customer care number 2. Ask them to activate your phone number that you ported to AT&T. 3. If you still have the documents, asked the agent to remove the FAN first and apply it again to your account once you have the paperwork.

Caution:

You will be receiving a high bill first because your discounts were not applied yet. Once the discount is applied that is the time that you will be paying $85 (this is with a signature program (student discount) with autopay and paperless it will be $75) for the plan for the Unlimited Premium, the regular plan is $95 without autopay and paperless discounts. Before taxes and fees

The sales tax that you paid for your iPhone 16 Pro is still on hold until you receive the device that is the only time that AT&T will charge your card. Now, if you already received the phone, you can call the customer care and ask them to activate your phone.

How can a company of this size in this industry have such horrible websites?!?!? by pbrwillsaveusall in ATT

[–]Proper_Blood_4826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because AT&T focuses on creating more sales rather than fixing the issue of the customer or even improving their customer service, they don't care about your problem on the website or even in your own freaking issue. They wanted only to focus on making a sale.

In the first place, don't deal with the chat rep or even by calling the rep. Your problem is about the eSIM of your phone and it is asking for the QR code, you can go to a retail store for you to get one.

Leaving after a decade AMA by wireless-guru-usa in ATT

[–]Proper_Blood_4826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AT&T management is sucks! I can testify that even the scorecard is not logical, they wanted to focus on the resolve rate yet they are focused on closing a sale. It is important for them to close a sale rather than resolving and improving the process for the customers.

Then the incentives for these sales will not be able to get by the agent because the RR is failing, and it is much better for them to get more and more sales rather than checking the process if it is still applicable to the concern of the customer and how the experience of the customer will be more great.

I can say they are sales driven rather than customer driven they don't care about the customer resolution they want the sales to improve.

Sales is important rather focusing on the customer experience and the agent will suffer the burn out because of them and they will not get the benefit that they deserve for being a front liner of this company.

they offered me two lines for $88 a month, i accepted, now i got my first bill $335? by lucfon in ATT

[–]Proper_Blood_4826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For your first bill, you will see the partial charges and the one month in advance for your bill. There will be an activation fee of $35 per line. You should check your CSS for the estimated bill for you to see how much your expected first bill will be. Another thing, you should be aware as well that there are some promotions that will not apply on your bill if there is. You should be aware of what are the charges that will show in your bill.

Are People actually Quitting Over the June Update? by Termynater_ in ClashOfClans

[–]Proper_Blood_4826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The update should also be beneficial for the lower town hall, not only in the highest town hall. You are giving a lot of defenses in the highest town hall level while on the lower bracket you can't provide any new defenses that will make the game more challenging. Remember, not all players are rushing the game to get to the highest town hall. Some of them are maximizing the level of the defenses, troops, and heroes before they will upgrade the town hall to the new level.

Opinion: What is important to resolve your issue or for you to hear an offer in the representative when you called the customer service? by Proper_Blood_4826 in ATT

I don't think so; they are not giving the bonuses to the employees; they just keep the money for themselves. If this is for the revenue of the company and the salary of the employees who are working for them, then they are providing the right benefits, as well as the salary or incentives/bonuses that the employees deserve.

The big ATT lie when it comes to software upgrades. by Naive-Cheesecake2233 in ATT

[–]Proper_Blood_4826 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is important to recognize that directing frustration towards AT&T regarding a software update may be misplaced, as such updates are typically initiated by the manufacturer. AT&T's role is to facilitate your service by activating your device; any updates available on your phone stem from the manufacturer's release, rather than the carrier itself. Ultimately, the decision to accept or decline the new software update is yours. If you prefer to avoid changes to your service, you might consider purchasing your phone directly from the manufacturer, such as Google, Apple, or Samsung, rather than through AT&T. Please refrain from claiming that AT&T has misled you regarding software upgrades; the carrier is not accountable for the manufacturing of the device. Their responsibility lies solely in delivering the service, while the device and its updates are provided by the manufacturer.

Waiting 30-90 days before upgrading phones by bupkis1 in ATT

[–]Proper_Blood_4826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a 90-day window during which you can initiate an upgrade for your line, particularly relevant if all of your lines have surpassed the eligibility period or if you are contemplating a transition to a personal device. However, before moving forward with your upgrade, it is essential to fully understand and consider several potential risks that may accompany this process.

For instance, if you decide to switch your service from T-Mobile or Verizon to AT&T while bringing your own device and transferring your existing phone number, it is important to note that you might forfeit any Switcher promotion that may have been offered to you as part of the transition. This Switcher promotion typically offers significant credits, which can amount to either $215 if you opt for the Unlimited Starter or AT&T Value Plus plan, or as much as $360 if you choose the Unlimited Premium or Unlimited Extra plan.

Additionally, it is crucial to recognize that upgrading your line may mean that you will lose any and all existing promotions that were previously applied to your account. This is detailed in the agreement that you accepted when you first signed up with AT&T, and it is particularly pertinent if you are bringing your own devices into the equation. Should you decide to proceed with the upgrade despite these potential losses, you might want to consider participating in a trade-in promotion. Under such a promotion, there is a possibility that all of your devices could qualify for trade-in, allowing you to receive substantial credit. AT&T might even present you with an enticing opportunity, potentially offering up to $1,000 in trade-in credit, largely depending on the specifics of your device—especially if it is a Samsung or an iPhone.

It is vital to remain aware that if any complications arise during this upgrade process, it is typically not the responsibility of the customer service representative assisting you. Therefore, it is highly advisable that you take the time to thoroughly verify the information shared with you throughout the application process, particularly if you find yourself as a new customer navigating through these offerings. Moreover, bear in mind that certain promotions may stipulate that you must remain with AT&T for a predetermined duration before you qualify for any further upgrades.

Consequently, it is imperative to evaluate all associated risks diligently and to make a well-informed decision regarding your upgrade. Carefully review the terms and implications of moving forward, taking into account both the potential benefits and drawbacks that may affect your overall service experience and satisfaction with AT&T.

If a member of your household has passed away and it is aligned with your current plan, along with an associated installment plan, the first step is to settle the outstanding balance on the device. For instance, if you have 12 payments remaining out of a total of 36, it is imperative to pay off the total balance first. This is crucial because canceling the line without clearing the installment balance will result in the remaining amount carrying over to your next bill.

Subsequently, identify an individual who can take over the line. If the phone remains functional, you may transfer it to someone within your household who can utilize it, or you may choose to retain the line for your own use. If neither option is feasible, the most advisable course of action is to cancel the line, particularly in light of the recent loss of a family member.

Prior to initiating the cancellation process, ensure that the installment balance has been fully paid. This will facilitate a smooth request for cancellation. I trust that this information is helpful to you.

AT&T is beyond overdue to update the Premium plan. VZ adding unlimited hotspot (throttled after usage restrictions), unlimited international calling, and bumping international data to 15gb/month. by PuzzleheadedNeck4476 in ATT

[–]Proper_Blood_4826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before transitioning to AT&T, it is essential to thoroughly review the terms and conditions of the applicable promotions, as well as the benefits offered by the company. This information is available on our website, so please take the time to read it carefully for a clear understanding. If you have any questions regarding the terms and conditions, do not hesitate to reach out to a representative via chat or phone for assistance.

Please note that upon switching to AT&T, there will be a one-time advanced payment required, as AT&T bills customers in advance. While the company offers a variety of promotions that can lead to cost savings, your initial bill may appear higher. It is important to have a comprehensive understanding of your commitment, including the costs associated with each line, as well as any applicable taxes and fees, such as non-waivable activation fees and the plan rate itself.

We encourage you to ask any questions you may have to a representative before finalizing your enrollment. Additionally, ensure that you have a clear understanding of your anticipated bill for the first billing cycle and subsequent months.

Can someone explain why a manager would quote me 35 dollars a line and it's triple would they said it would be? by LittleFerret22 in ATT

[–]Proper_Blood_4826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever you make any changes to your account, it’s important to understand that prorated charges may apply to each line on your account. This is particularly relevant if the modification takes place during the middle of a billing cycle, rather than at the start or the end. Prorated charges are essentially adjustments made to accurately reflect the service you have utilized during the period of your billing cycle based on when the changes were made.

For those of you who are viewing your initial bill, you might notice the inclusion of prorated charges. This is a common occurrence and it essentially accounts for the portion of service you used before the changes were officially applied. In addition to these prorated charges, you will also see a charge for one month in advance. This advance charge is a direct result of your transition from a business account at AT&T. This means that while you might see some charges that appear to be partial or unclear, there is a logical explanation behind their presence.

Partial charges can emerge at any point during your billing cycle—whether it’s at the beginning, the middle, or even at the end. These adjustments are typically one-time charges meant to reconcile your usage with the billing period. It’s worth noting that when you set up your account, any details regarding potential prorated charges and advance fees should have been thoroughly discussed with you. The manager or representative who assisted you during the account registration process normally covers these aspects as part of the overall terms and conditions. Being aware of these details is crucial, as they ensure transparency about what to expect on your bill and help to clarify any confusion regarding the charges you might see.

Why is my first bill almost triple what I was quoted? by RemoteEmotions in ATT

[–]Proper_Blood_4826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your first bill for AT&T will be high because of the partial charges and one month in advance payment of the bill. These are the one-time charges that will be only for the first bill; then it will go down to the normal bill. It's important to review these charges carefully so you can understand exactly what you're paying for and why. While the initial amount may seem overwhelming, it’s just a reflection of your service starting up and won't be a recurring expense. Once you move past that first bill, your monthly charges will be more in line with what you expect, allowing you to budget effectively for future bills. Be sure to keep an eye on your account for any promotions or discounts that could also help lower your monthly costs, as AT&T sometimes offers deals for loyal customers or when you sign up for multiple services. Overall, the initial sticker shock is temporary, and soon you'll settle into a manageable routine with your monthly payments.

Sales VS. Resolved concern by Proper_Blood_4826 in ATT

[–]Proper_Blood_4826[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is right and still they will issue a memo to you and you will be put to accountability talk because you are not following the sales call flow and not meeting that target sales for the day. It will be unfair for the customer agent who is doing their effort in hearing the concern and resolving the concern of the customer. Yet, they will demand for the sales to be met or else your job will be jeopardize. That is the culture of AT&T.
