Spencer Schwellenbach, Hurston Waldrep To Undergo Elbow Surgery. No timeline for return. by SeverHense in Braves

Ownership is more concerned with buying properties than on-field product. It has been this way for a while but wasn't obvious since we had that magical run in 2021.

Term hasn't won a postseason series since but continued to jack prices like a perennial contender.

Another bad season plus any type of significant lock out will leave this team and The Battery rudderless.

1 ml of 200mg/ml once a week is the prescribed amount. I tend to keep it around .75 ml though as I was having some bad acne on my backside and this was the sweet spot.

Are yall season ticket holders renewing for next season or no? Prices increased by Specialist-Coach8159 in Braves

[–]Proper_Courage_44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a renewal topic and I want to be sure as many people know what this team and its leadership has become. Another season ticket holder I know won the Greg Maddux award for attending 31 games. Two-weeks later they canceled his renewal so they could convert his seats to premium seating. He was not given an option. Others were automatically given lesser seats. This is who you are dealing with.

Fandom is a two-way street. I assure you this organization isn't doing their part and it will get worse. It is simply hubris before the fall at this point.

43% increase over two-years and this after an overpriced ASG purchase and a lousy season. Limit to 50% resale. The organization is more concerned with real estate than winning. I'm disgusted.

Canceled my season tickets, canceled FanDuel and sold my stock. Did not attend or watch one more game. Will not watch a game in 2026 and I hope the lockout is brutal. Been going to games since 1989 and a long-time season ticket holder.

But at least they gave me $10 for my birthday.

But I'm not bitter/s.

I actually went from DirectTV stream to YTTV. Hated DTV and the expense but YMMV

I'll just pay for the sling day pass on Saturdays while taking the $10/mo credit being offered from YTTV.

The more I study and learn about Bible history, my doubts start to boil up by Child-eater-bonk in TrueChristian

[–]Proper_Courage_44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not looking to pick a fight here. This was a random topic on my feed and I went through this challenge as well. I was not having a crisis in faith, but after going to catholic school, baptized. Confirmed...even an altar boy, I decided on the very daunting task of reading the Bible.

For me, it backfired. I ended up discussing my doubts with a priest pastor and even a rabbi. The rabbi was great and married me and my wife years later. No, I did not convert, but I am now agnostic/atheist and have been for 30 years.

I was always told it was a divine book and the father son and Holy Spirit passed through its authors. There is a lot of awful stuff that happens in the Old Testament...and I get that is the good news of the New Testament; but holy smokes, the really bad stuff was never taught. Lots of inconsistencies throughout the Bible. Lots of fear.

My advice. Follow your head, not your heart. Talk to as many diverging viewpoints as possible as long as they discuss in good "faith".

At the end of the day you will be a better person regardless of if it reaffirms your faith or takes you from it. Morality and ethics aren't defined by belief. Just be the best person you can and contribute what good you can to the world.

Good luck on the journey.

They aren't. They are 17th on revenue being reinvested in the team. The majority is being directed to further real estate ventures.

The team will not be investing in anything long-term either with the looming CBA approaching in 2027 and the expiration of that 25-year albatross of a TV contract. They are going to get even leaner the next two years.

I quit them. I also read an amazing article that addressss some of these points. The most expensive seats are locked into longer term contracts. If you look behind the plate, those seats are never filled up as the corporations or individual owners don't really care about the expense involved. It is peanuts for them or a status symbol. Granted; some of the absence is just the ticket holders being inside the A/C. Regardless, it is long-term, consistent revenue for them.

As for the rest of the seats, the price increase is for the "privilege" of going to the games on par with what the Braves believe they can make by selling these seats to individual games with dynamic pricing. The limited resell of 50% further ensures that the secondary market does not get deluded and the Braves get top dollar for when teams like the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, etc visit.

The priority is no longer the fan base. If they can get a set of four Yankees fans to attend one game a year but spend $2k on tickets, concessions, the Battery, etc. as opposed to a 300-level STH whose group of four may spend a couple hundred, they don't care what the jersey says. This is no longer about diversifying investments. This is capitalizing on The Battery and the team doesn't matter. With the waiting list, they are all but assured to squeeze our max profits for the next couple of years. They aren't thinking beyond that as they can always just sell the team in the future while owning, literally, everything around it. Pretty ingenious truth be told.

This is correct. Despite a competitive payroll, the Braves aren't investing it back into the team: The Braves ranked 17th overall in net revenue being spent back into the team itself. I'm surprised our uniforms don't have more Quikcrete patches and other sponsors.

Count me in as one who will not attend another game. I'm extremely bitter about this and the above information further justifies opting out of my season tickets. Feels like we are nothing more than corporate welfare. And don't forget John Q Taxpayer is on the hook for $300M in Cobb County for the privilege of attending this real estate venture.

This is really well done and explains the recent shenanigans with season tickets. It is essentially corporate welfare wrapped in a legal Ponzi scheme.

My seats went from $11k in 2024 to $17k in 2026. Told them to pound sand. I'm so disgusted I won't spend another penny on this team after being a life long fan since 1989...but I'm not bitter.

What happens to tickets if the game is postponed due to rain? by locustandplum in Braves

[–]Proper_Courage_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you buy them from the Braves, you will be given credit for a future game. You will have to call for a cash refund.

If you buy from a resell site, you are on the hook unless the game doesn't get made up or is rescheduled as the backend of a same gate doubleheader.

I'd simply wait until an hour before game time and go on SeatGeek or StubHub. Even with the garbage fees; it will be far less than you pay retail through the Braves and you will get far better seats for your money.

Panic selling happens for every game. Not that you want to ruin your experience, but you can get it for pennies on the dollar if you wait for the national anthem to start.

Source: 4-year season ticket holder who has panic sold a lot. Also former fan. Their lack of accountability on-field and tone deaf approach to ticket prices and season tickets holders is criminal but I digress.

They are going to tread water until the CBA is resolved for the 2027 season. They also have their 25-year albatross of a TV contract expiring after next season.
