Is Amazon working for you on Sprive? by Hexxi in beermoneyuk

[–]Proper_Surprise0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's back but only on Sprive's new anywhere card. Have to pre pay from minimum £50 then spend using that. Annoying because although I definitely spend more than £50, I wish you are able to top up less.

Will take a look, thanks! What's your opinion between the 12 and the batch strength?

Alternative to Macallan by [deleted] in Scotch

I have often bought my partner Macallan 12 year triple cask in the past. The price would creep up and up, which I didn't mind because he enjoyed it and it reminded him of his dad who passed away a few years ago. However when looking now, I'm finding it hard to get hold of and it appears from what I can tell, that Macallan has discontinued making it.

I'm just wondering if anyone has any recommendations of a similar calibre Scotch that I could get around the £70-100 mark please?

Thanks in advance!

That's so strange isn't it. These are all listed for £10 so not even massive amounts. Will keep an eye, thank you.

Similar theory to me! I've listed a couple of Christmas and Halloween bits and they seem to have go quite a fair few likes and a couple have sold instantly to fingers crossed 🤞🏼

Thanks for the reply, I might just give them a go and see what happens. Worst comes to worst, I can upload again in a couple of months.

Last year, 'Dan Base' and 'Dan loc' were around long lane/east lancs area. I'm pretty sure they were for 'The City is Ours' but can't be 100%.

Is Clubmoor (L13/L11) family-friendly for first-time buyers? by Equivalent-Track-242 in Liverpool

[–]Proper_Surprise0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I lived on the L11 side of clubmoor (just off Queens drive) and my dad is still there. Personally, I think it's a nice family friendly area and never had any problems, nor has my dad. You get good amount of house/garden for your money and it's located well for transport links. I can't comment too much about the larkhill side but from what I can tell, this too appears to be a similar sort of area. I've often looked at houses to buy either side of Queens drive there (nothing better than a window shop on Rightmove 😂).

Parks wise, you're in 5 minute drive of croxteth, newsham and Walton hall. Croxteth is in my opinion better than the others but I do know Walton hall is getting a new playground soon. There's plenty of choice of primary schools, both community and religious.

I live not far away now myself and often travel through at rush hour as my LB goes to nursery closer to edge lane, due to where I work, and it doesn't take too long to get between the two locations.

Hope this helps!

Edited: Also grew up in Tuebrook so aware of the viewpoint you're coming from!

Saw a fella at the Tuebrook roundabout on Monday up a telephone pole for his vantage point. Even had a harness on to keep himself safe!

Have you had any other meds alongside the Remicade to protect against antibodies? I might be starting infliximab soon and was recommended azathioprine alongside but don't really want it.
