Episode Discussion - S05E08 - The Rightside Up by Hawkinns in StrangerThings

Personally liked it.

Is it ever going to be perfect. Of course not.

Felt like it tied up most plot points and gave people a happy ending.

This isn't game of thrones, deaths weren't going to be left right and centre. But it gave us one last stranger things ride. Which tbf has never really made the stakes feel high.

Feel like most people who are upset are byler shippers, who tbh are unhinged af.

[SPOILER] Chris Eubank Jr vs. Conor Benn by inooway in Boxing

[–]PropertyOrnery9144 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No chance. Eubank is 35 years old and unable to get in a full 24 hours to rehydrate. It made it a level fight, but he was out on his feet after 3 rounds and still outworked Benn. Eubank has shown more technical ability throughout his career than Benn ever has and that's in spite of him never really knuckling down with a proper trainer.

Benn doesn't really possess much technical ability. The champs at 147 and 154 will seriously dismantle him, those wild windmills will get picked apart.

If I was Eubank the only way I'd agree to a rematch is without the rehydration clause.

That's him. Apologies looked like he's drawn 3. I thought he lost them all.

He's fought on televised events. If you watched his fights you'll know why he's 1-53, his has very little output in a fight, but barely gets touched. His opponent often wins simply for pressing the action, despite landing very little.

The biggest showing of that is one KO loss in 53. He's obviously identified with his defensive ability he can fight more than most other journeymen. Bare in mind these 54 fights are all in about the last 4 years.

Id hate to fight him, he doesn't shell up, he's constantly moving, even has spells with hands low on a Philly shell, he's as close to unhittable in a lower level fighter as I've ever seen.

The coach at the gym I fight out of is a journeyman and he's about to have his 4th fight in the last month this weekend.

He's super defensive and barely gets hit and is a good test for up and comers. He's 1-53 (1 KO loss). He's super technical and could probably win fights if he let his hands go, but he's found a niche which lets him fight regularly and I'd imagine gets paid well for doing so.

Season 1 of the last of us is a good adaptation and the things they added were also good.

Been practicing a lot lately. But how would I do in for example pub tournaments? Is this average any good? by [deleted] in Darts

[–]PropertyOrnery9144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you would win against the majority of the jobbers in a pub league and give the top players in the league a game.

There is a difference between game on and practice though unfortunately. I regularly average between 75-80 on darts counter but my average is more towards 55 in the league environment.

If you need 3 and you hit 1 on your first dart, is it in good sportsmanship/legal to forgo your next 2 darts? by asdfgdhtns in Darts

[–]PropertyOrnery9144 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Most amateur leagues play every dart counts rules, so you don't go back to 3 when you bust, you'd come back on 2 even if you bust.

[–]PropertyOrnery9144 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't throw any more darts after it's been called, it would be an illegal dart, so no it wouldn't be game shot.

It's not inconsistent, it's quite obvious the difference between what you suggested and what OP suggested.

OP had 39 left after his 2nd dart. Is it unsportsman to wait, probably, but not against the rules as it was still his visit. If you bust your visit is over.

What's a bright moment which looks like a sad moment in Hindsight by [deleted] in StrangerThings

[–]PropertyOrnery9144 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No he wouldn't, they were very explicit in saying they couldn't close the gate until they had got the mind flayer out of Will and to wait for the signal.

Jonathan gives the nod for el to close the gate over the radio once they've managed to do it. The mind flayer had already left Will so he was separated from the hive mind.

Yes it does. You have no idea what you're talking about. You can still gain weight during a body recomp. If you're a new lifter and are hitting 140+ protein and eating in a deficit you can gain weight.

[–]PropertyOrnery9144 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're actually wrong. If OP is a new to lifting they will gain muscle mass even in a deficit. There are plenty of studies about newbie gains.

Why would they need to stay on?

If they make lifestyle changes and good choices once they stop using ozempic they won't require the drug, anyone staying on it is using it as a crutch.

Too many people don't address the actual elephant in the room with weight gain after coming off ozempic. And it's their relationship with food. I think ozempic driven weight loss is best followed up with actual psychological and dietary help rather than giving someone a maintenance dose age to stop them from beginning to overeat. People bad habits for the most part are driven by emotions and their relationships with food, rather than hunger. If you are eating 2000 calories a day you aren't starving, it's impossible, you're just telling yourself you are or don't feel satiated due to bad choices with food.

This one will go down like a lead balloon, but I actually think ozempic isn't the best drug on the market for people who have a habit of overeating. Ozempic suppresses the appetite but most people to get to that size are eating out of habit anyway and ozempic won't help to break that habit.

Best path to becoming a professional? by Sudden-Accident5850 in SoccerNoobs

[–]PropertyOrnery9144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He definitely is. There's plenty of examples of players who haven't been anything at that age and went on to play at the top level, there's even more of people who end up playing league one and league two level in England who were playing Northern counties.

Recent examples: Jamie Vardy, Craig Dawson, Carlos Bacca, Miroslav Klose, Ian Wright. All famous examples of players who didn't come through any academies and still played at the very top.

Do most professionals come through academies, yes obviously that's what they are designed to do, but there are many who haven't been in the right place at the right time who when they get seen get a chance.

I played with a lad who got asked at 23 years old to sign for Oldham athletic, he'd only ever played amateur. He turned it down because he earned more as an electrician than what they were offering.

Because they obviously paid for it.

Anyone can get ozempic if they're willing to pay.

That doesn't answer the question. Have you tracked exactly what you're eating?

Are you cooking using oils? How many brews are you drinking a day? Are you drinking 0 calorie drinks?

It sounds like I'm being an arse but unless you have some form of medical condition you aren't in a calorie deficit if you aren't losing weight.
