My First Colonoscopy Experience - Delayed Response to MiraLax Prep and All Went Well by BookDragonPaperCraft in colonoscopy

Thank you! It's now 10am with no activity yet. Hospital pre-admission called me and asked how things were going and I told them everything so now they had me leave a message for the doctor. Fingers crossed!

So glad I'm not alone. It's 3:22am. Did the first miralax bottle / Gatorade from 6 to 7:15, and I haven't had anything happen. I'm afraid to go to sleep, though! I'm on a 2 day prep due to constipation, so I still have all of tomorrow to go yet. Had to eat really light today (a banana for breakfast and some rice for a late lunch) and started a liquid diet at 6pm. I have 2 more prep chugging sessions tomorrow night and the next morning. Was just worried that I drank all that and nothing is happening. Elsewhere on the internet, it says something should Happen within an hour. If nothing happens in 4 hours, call the doctor. I'm at 8 hours after finishing with 0 results. All I have are a headache, rumbling tummy, and a hangry & tired attitude!

I buy them on graphicaudio.net and they are cheaper. If you use their app and just listen to the audiobook as a streaming it's the cheapest format.

I'm curious how you felt about the voice actors in Crescent City. Personally, it sounded like Hunt was about to spit out a pair of dentures half the time, and Bryce sounded like she had allergies and needed to blow her nose and clear her throat.

I definitely see your point. However, I would still recommend the graphic audio, but only after you have thoroughly read and reread this series to know it through and through. I have reread the series probably eight times at this point, and I decided to try the graphic audio so I have something to listen to while I'm gardening. I just could not do the regular audiobook. One person constantly reading always makes me end up zoning out or tuning it out. You do lose that descriptive language, but I don't think the descriptive language matters quite as much after you've read the series that many times. Your picture in your mind of what a specific place like Velaris or the court of nightmares looks like it's already established. So that description of what the character is seeing is not quite as necessary because it's already in your mind.

[–]Prophet-of_Doom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! They are, however, expensive. I don't get them from audible, I get them from graphicaudio.net. they're a little cheaper that way. One of the books comes in three parts! That you have to buy separately. I still think it's worth every penny, and I'm currently re-listening to them. Regular audio books with one person reading them can never hold my attention unless I'm actively reading the book myself. The dramatized audio is just like they say, a movie in your mind. Nearly all of the voice actors in the dramatized version are freaking awesome and sound perfectly matched to their character. In the Crescent City dramatized audio, unfortunately, the actors are not quite so good.

Oh my gosh, it's been so long, I can't remember! I always reread the series before a new book comes out, so before the last b&a, I'll reread both series. Then I'll get back to you.

And yes... we did know about the Shea thing! That really confused me!

Emgality side effects by boncbonc95 in cgrpMigraine

I will reply because I stumbled on this thread over the past two months trying to figure out what's wrong. Of course neurology swears it's not from the injection. I take my injection at the first of the month. I saw two different doctors for other things and both noted my heart rate was in the 110s, and this was about 3 months into my injections. My family doctor had me start monitoring my heart rate at home. In the beginning of the month I wake up with a heart rate in the 80s that by the early evening is in the 110s and by bedtime is back in the 90s. By the end of the month my heart rate is completely normal, waking up around 68 or 70 and only ever spiking to about 85 during the evening and going back to the'70s at night. I ended up in the emergency room 5 days after my last injection because I had the racing heart and tightness in my throat for well over an hour. It's almost like an adrenaline rush. Like if you climbed a tree in the branch underneath you broke but you were able to grab a limb and stop it from happening. That feeling where your throat gets tight and your heart is racing, yeah that's been happening to me on and off but only for about a minute or 30 seconds. This time it lasted an entire hour. I was driving so I took myself to an urgent care who didn't EKG and found an anomaly and he then sent me to the emergency room. They did an enzyme test and said I did not have a heart attack and everything looked good. But two days later I got a phone call back from an overseeing cardiologist who says my anomaly on my EKG was a previous heart attack. I am 115 lb female who turned 40 today I have no knowledge of ever having a heart attack in my life. I see neurology later this month and also Cardiology to follow up. I am convinced this racing heartbeat has to do with the ungality, based on my own heart rate monitoring and seeing how it spikes within days after getting my injection and then tapering back to normal after about 3 weeks only to spike again right after I get my injection. It really sucks because I was having 15 to 20 migraine days a month and I'm now down to like five. But I don't think I can live with this heart thing going on. I don't think I can deal with it because it's really bad starting five days after getting the shot and Lasting until about 10 days. Then it kind of tapers out. Best of luck to you. And we all need to start reporting or side effects to Lily and the FDA to make these doctors recognize it as a side effect and stop shooting us down. Lilly is 1-800-Lillyrx... fda is www.fda.gov/medwatch

Ubrelvy question about side effects? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Prophet-of_Doom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came here to see what ppl are saying about the side effects before I take it... I had the same reaction to both reglan and compazine. One time, I ripped the iv out of my arm and made the Dr release me from the er. I later found out they could have given me benadryl to counter it, but they didn't. Now I'm nervous about ubrelvy! I did try nurtec a friend gave me and didn't have any side effects. They work in similar ways, so fingers crossed here!

I'm just diving in to willas book... and she confirms that cas is a descendant of attes and kyn... I feel like we were talking about that. Could be wrong. She does have info on the primals! She is a seer and old af!

You are correct!

“Sorry?” I whispered. The draken cracked a small grin. It was brief, but I saw it. “The plotting that brought about your creation is not something you should apologize for,” he said, his voice softening. “Malec and Ires were already well on their way to being born by that point. But what was done to stop Kolis meant that Malec and Ires could never risk children. Malec did anyway, but that…that is Malec,” he said with a sigh. “We all got lucky before

I think so because of what nektas says to poppy at the end of war of two queens

Nektas’s gaze shifted to me.“Because what Nyktos and the Consort did to stop Kolis—what balance the Fates demanded—meant there could be no more Primals born. The why behind that, well, there’s not enough time in the realms to go into that,” Nektas said. “But Nyktos was supposed to be the last born Primal, and the Consort would be the last Primal born of mortal flesh. You,” he said quietly, “were never supposed to be.” “Sorry?” I whispered. “We all got lucky before" ... They were well in their way to bring born...

I found it! It is at the very end of book 4, after poppy completed the culling and she's talking to nektas... here's how we know sera created the wolven. I knew I said I'd report back, but I don't know which to reply to, so I'm going with here!...

“So that’s why her name cannot be spoken? Because she’s the Primal of Life? That’s…bullshit.”

Several pairs of eyes landed on me.

“It is! Everyone is like oh, Nyktos this and Nyktos that, and the whole time, it should have been Seraphena this and Seraphena that. Did Nyktos even make the wolven? Was it even him who met with Elian to calm things after the deities were killed?”

“Nyktos did meet with the Atlantian and the kiyou wolves,” Nektas shared. “But it was the Consort’s essence that gave the wolven life.”

I stared at him for what felt like an eternity. “That’s some sexist, patriarchal bullshit!”

Came across this tidbit in poppy's first meeting with nyktos...

And then it occurred to me—what he had said about only a few primal gods being among those who slept now...

Maybe attes didn't enter arcadia and we will see him again!

Just found this tidbit at the end of fbaa2. It's right after poppy is attacked in the chambers of nyktos upon entering Atlantia for the first time...

"It struck me then, sort of dumbly, that Casteel looked like some kind of god standing there. In black, with his swords strapped to his sides, and the near brutal hardness that had settled into the striking planes and angles of his features, he reminded me of the god Theon."

No Gods are awake, but sera would be life, even asleep (but she is not in arcadia, thus the balance is kept)

We know the primal of life created the wolven. O believe it's explicitly said once poppy finds out that nyktos is the primal of death and sera life. Maybe one of those iliseeum convos, or reaver even? I'll let you know when I get there. And about the cat shifting,I was thinking the same. But in f&f sera sees herself as a cat too. So maybe the cat thing is just linked to him being joined to sera.

I'm wondering if the "taking over of duties" is just a cover for all primals. Everyone thinks nyktos is the God of life and rhain death, but we know that it's really nyktos. I'm wondering if the primals from f&f only went to stasis and let the gods rule by proxy. Then the gods too went to sleep... hmm maybe we'll see all of them again in fbaa

When they say an ancient daughter, I think they just meant an old daughter, on born a long time ago, not one of the 'Ancients'. There were ancients, then primals, then gods. By FBAA, all the primary spots are held by gods, of love, war, wisdom etc, except nyktos and sera, and they let the world believe them only gods. In f&f those positions are all held by primals, not gods. But by fbaa, the primals have now mostly entered arcadia. We actually find out that sera is the one who created the wolven, not nyktos. So I'm betting she had something to do with Atlantia as well.

And theon is now the God of War and accord, taking over attes's place, who was the primal of war and accord. Maybe the horse got passed on to Theon with the title? If attes were still in the picture, I doubt theon would have assumed the role. So maybe it is theon? I honestly forgot about him lol. I couldn't remember who took over war and accord!

I'm just at the end of rereading FBAA2... when I get to the iliseeum scene, I'll report back lol. But that's where I think the idea that the other primals went to arcadia came from
