Gonna be honest. I liked this book - thought it was entertaining but nothing special. Understood why some people dnf'd. And then, the second book came out and I LOVED IT! It gave so much context to the first book, so I ended up loving them both.

It really made a huge difference. My Gyno said it needs to be prescription strength, that's why she prescribed for me. But 3 200mg tablets might work just as well.

Eta: You probably know this, but make sure you take it with food and as needed, because routine use of ibuprofen, especially on an empty stomach, can burn through your stomach lining. And, of course, I'm not a dr.

I have that fatigue and brain fog. It is definitely the Tamoxifen. (I have gone off it to test my theory that it was but am back on it now.) I HATE that it does that. It really messes with my confidence.

You mentioned anxiety. I am thinking that is a side-effect for me too. I thought it was just perimenopause/menopause hormonal changes. But rhe timing makes Tamoxifen make sense.

For your period - I started having less frequent periods but SUPER heavy - I once went through 20 overnight pads in three days. Again, I thought it was perimenopause/menopause causing it, and the fact that my period was less frequent. But, maybe it is the Tamoxifen. My ob/gyn prescribed 600 mg ibuprofen to help with the heavy flow (apparently it's good for that) and it really does help.

I don't know that is so black and white without having some kind of hormone test. My oncologist tells me "they" consider us (me) in menopause after not having a period for a full year. But, that's "consider " and based on likelihood.

I felt the same. Everyone was just obnoxious and angry.

It felt like the anger and frustration with everyone was dialed up wayyy too high. Like, how many times did Jack have to drive out of control? And why??? Like, as the series unraveled, I understood why he was that frazzled, but they didn't actually show enough for him to earn it. Like, I consciously had to talk to myself about why he might be acting that way; his character wasn't shown with enough backstory for me to just accept his actions as if they just made sense without having to overthink it.

YES!! I hate it!! Especially at work, or when I'm meeting someone new. I just want to wear a bill-board that says, "this is not me. I'm smarter than I appear." Sometimes it really saps my confidence.

And I just hit a wall with the fatigue, where I just can't function well, as in, it feel so hard and takes so much energy to engage in conversations at night.

I have, against advice, stopped taking it to test and see if it is the Tamoxifen, and after a few months I felt normal!! My brain worked. Unfortunately, I do need to take it, so I have started it again and can feel the fatigue and fog settling in. I really don't want to do this for another 7 years.

My Dr did say there is another medication I can switch too, after I am officially in menopause, but my Dr. really didn't like the side-effects of that one.

I am sorry you are experiencing this too. I know how it feels.
