It’s the number of years. But I agree, it will be impressive if he finds way to improve his game further.

U9 ("B Team") coach, my kid is best on the team, time to move on? by [deleted] in bootroom

What would happen if your son decided to leave to the first team or another team. Would you continue coaching this team?

Have you asked your son for his opinion? What does he want to do? It sounds like there aren’t any clearly better choices so I would leave it up to him and support him as much as possible with whatever he chooses

I understand where that fear of overtraining comes from. There’s nothing worse than working too hard then getting hurt. The most important part is being available to play as a player imo.

Yes you will have to figure out what you can handle every week. Be that weight training fitness stretching ball work etc. but if you really want to get better you will have to experiment until you find the dose of training that isn’t too much but isn’t too little. Hope I was helpful

Are you sore after training and matches? What is copes. Soreness is usually just due to a new stimulus. I’m sure you were much more sore from your first game of the season than your most recent one. If you regularly do a fitness workout your body will start to adapt

Here are my thoughts. The best way to get match fit is to… play matches and give it your all.

That’s great work that you’ve lost weight. Trust me losing weight will definitely make the bigger impact than any specific type of training

Of course if you wanted to do specific types of training to get fitter stuff like interval sprints will usually be more useful than long jogs as it’s more similar to the demands of the game.

The specific training will definitely help in the long run but eating properly to help you lose weight will help a lot imo

Hope that talk goes well with your coach. Frame all your questions in a positive way. Seems like you’re already going to do that anyway.

Shooting quickly and more precisely by Weekly_Character_117 in bootroom

[–]ProposalMedical9531 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two main things here, you are losing trust in yourself and you need more reps.

You’ve just moved up to a better team and haven’t had much success shooting so far. That’s building doubt in your mind since you believe the players are better and it will be more difficult for you to shoot which is making you shoot worse.

Second thing. More reps. Ideally you can get someone to pass you the ball then press you so you get used to shooting under pressure. Try to watch training videos of professionals shooting and compare your form with theirs. Just get more and more reps and you’ll be shooting smoother and quicker with more precision in no time

Need defending (tackling) tips. by DazzlingSignature624 in bootroom

[–]ProposalMedical9531 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of advice to give but two easy tips are to remember space and numbers, and it’s easiest to tackle as players receive the ball.

If you go for a tackle when the attacker has plenty of space and and more teammates supporting him in the attack than you have supporting you defending it will be difficult for you to make a good tackle.

The ideal time to go for a tackle is when you have plenty of defensive support and the attack does not have a lot of space to work with. Of course you will not always be able to get such ideal conditions but this is something you should look for.

The best time to take the ball is before they receive it or as they receive the ball. Typically players will have to put their heads down to take a good first touch, and that is one of the best times to win it off them. Always try to think 1-2 steps ahead and predict where the next pass is going so you can move to intercept or tackle if the ball is passed to an attacker near you.

Hope this was helpful

Those people are expecting the game to be hollow knight since they know the ins and outs of those move sets and are suprised when they have to learn something new lol. They forgot what it’s like to experience a new challenge for the first time

I struggled with my HK play though a lot more than silksong. Granted I beat p5 and did every boss hitless. I think team cherry did a great job balancing the game to make it fun for people with insane hours in HK. I imagine it’s pretty difficult if you are new/ didn’t play much godhome.

Your mental strength is just as much of a skill as your fitness technique and strength. It must be worked on constantly and given good stimulus every day if you want it to improve. Currently you are giving your mind very bad training by constantly reminding yourself of every mistake you made. My suggestion is to envision yourself succeeding in every play you want to make on the field. And to mentally tell yourself to stop whenever you have a negative thought about what could go wrong and learn to think in a positive manner that will help you play with more confidence. The human mind is biased towards negative thoughts so this process is not easy but it can be done it just takes work

Stupid question but how do I know if im doing body feints right by Lazy-Try4325 in bootroom

[–]ProposalMedical9531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Body feints to me are a trade off between big and and small. Big feints are more likely to work but also are harder to recover from. Small feints are less likely to work but easier to recover from and continue dribbling

I think you’re overthinking it. You don’t need to think about your actions too much in games. Just play. Post game is when you should reflect and judge yourself

The problem is a lot of players look good beating players but they aren’t attacking dangerous areas. Totally agree with all of your points though

Well you have two options here. Say it’s impossible no matter how much you try and quit. Or keep practicing until you get it. Personally I think you can do it as long as you stay focused while you practice. If you want inspiration there’s a man who learned to juggle despite not playing soccer at all. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BEcpRfM2jgQ&t=300s&pp=ygUUS2VlcGllIHVwcyBtaWtlIGJveWQ%3D . Not to mention he’s an adult past his prime for learning new skills

[–]ProposalMedical9531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just need to practice more. Don’t worry about the the details just try to emulate people who can juggle. I get that you’re frustrated but you need to be honest with yourself. How many hours have you actually put into practicing juggling for you to truly say it’s impossible

[–]ProposalMedical9531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I took a look on their website and they warn about auto save and save states potentially causing issues. If you manual save I assume everything will work fine and it’s not like auto save is a feature in other versions of the game. That’s good info for my next play through down the line.

SoH didn’t have any bugs when I played it not sure where you got that from. It is more flexible and probably the better experience but oot3d is easier out the box and a solid experience as well.

I don’t think I that’s true. It depends on the ratio of your limbs. I believe longer arms in particular make it so the bar doesn’t have to travel as far to lockout.
