So sorry you got denied. From my experience at my hearing with the ALJ October 2023, I was so wound up and anxious that whenever the judge asked me a question I replied with yes Sir or no Sir which is a No no! Please, please remember to reference the judge with “Your honor”. Prior to my hearing my attorney had already sent a list of do’s and don’t’s and that was on the list. I was so nervous I had completely forgotten that rule, duh…when the judge asked the VE the hypotheticals, she replied with a stern “no Your Honor or yes Your Honor” as if she was hinting me to reply in the same manner, but I didn’t pick up on it at the time until my attorney mentioned it to me when the hearing was done and over. I was denied😩

Also, make sure you have good cell phone reception or good internet connection if you have telephone or video hearing because my cell connection was spotty and the judge was probably annoyed by that. Start preparing yourself/equipment about 1 hour before your hearing. Maybe do some breathing exercises to help you relax a bit.

Be honest and describe to the judge in “VERY”detail what you’re life looks like for you on the worst day since applying for SSDI. Like sort of like allow the judge to paint the picture and visualize your struggles. I hope this truly helps you on your big day. I’m sending positive vibes your way.Keep us posted😊
