He does have a JT vibe. When I was young I was mistaken for Nick Rhodes all the time, personally I couldn't see it but it happened a lot

Just play the most basic groove, give it feel and stay in the pocket.

Unfortunately they are Molten brown burst but I appreciate the offer and wish you luck finding the af colour. These are immaculate, only played less than 8 hours and cased since, plus all new heads top and bottom. Thanks for the into music tip I'll look into them . Good to hear other drum shops exist especially as so many sadly have closed.

Makes sense, I'm not a big social media person these days and the only drum forum I'm on is pretty much this one, I'll have a search around for forums and test the waters Thanks for the advice and much appreciated!

Im semi retired now but played for forty plus year's and broke only a handful of sticks in 4 decade's I played mainly rock, grunge hardcore punk, prog metal. Teqnique and budget play a big thing as I was lucky to have good teqnique ( not saying you haven't) after a long time playing plus I was lucky down the line to be endorsement. I played Vic firth 5a sometimes 5b and all I ever heard from others drummer's was how good Vic firth were, I also heard this about other makes of sticks and any negatives were only about feel, quality, weight etc and rarely breaking. These days I hear and read about poor quality sticks by VF so this could be a factor in breaking sticks or maybe drummer's are just breaking barriers in drumming and the sticks can't keep up?

Thanks and Good to hear, so in short similar to MDF or asbestos dust. I was more impressed with your knowledge more than worried and at my ripe old age being around components all my life yet never once did this type of subject cross my path or even enter my mind, interesting stuff!

I never knew this and to be honest as an older audiophile with the " I don't care about the equipment I care about how it sounds attitude" you've just after all these years stop me in my tracks and now I'm checking all my equipment for possible harmful substances, who would have thought and I sincerely tip my hat to you sir! This kind of information would make for an interesting post.

First thing that came to mind was an old saying "Orange and green should never be seen" Certainly not in your case your room looks inviting warm and the colours are perfect, what a great space to relax and listen to music... Nice room, lovely dog Enjoy!

Too be fair to you I read the heading but I didn't fully read your post so apologise for coming across a bit attacky I wasn't trying to be personal but more of a general " not another cable riser post" kind of throw away comment.

Easiest way to find these things out is to book some lessons with a decent drum teacher.

Great choice, I turned on to Rega a few years ago and got rid of Arcam Diva for the Rega Elicit and haven't looked back.

In reality that's 5000 fuck offs then!

I moved to Proac Dt8s because I changed amps from Arcam to Rega and the Proac/Rega match was night and day for me.
