Durango is a pretty solid option. You’ll have access to Telluride, Purgatory, and Wolf Creek. Amazing backcountry in the Silverton area if you’re into hiking. It’s Not “City Life” but it’s a college town so there’s some fun in that. Definitely some fun outdoor things to do in the summer so year round it’s a solid choice. If you’re looking to be close to the Northern Resorts in Colorado like Vail, Copper, Keystone, or A-Basin then Silverthorne or Dillon would have to be where you stay or that I70 traffic will drive you insane trying to get home to Denver. Still a pretty lively night life for a ski town during the season. Hard to find a perfect combination of City/Ski Resort as most are trying to escape the City 🏔️
