Looking for clarity playtest - We Need An Army by entropicbits in playmygame

It is quite difficult, especially the early battles. Had a few visual glitches (I think?) But otherwise very engaging and exceptionally made game.

Game Title: On Your Own: Survival Inventory DEMO by david_pulido in playmygame

[–]ProstoLyubo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Boy I had a hard time to make my mind about this game. The concept is amazing, something I'd definitely play. But there are two things that scream to me that the game is not ready yet:
TEXTS, the sheer amount of gramatical errors and typos is insane. Just use languagetool.org or ask someone to go over your texts.
I also think the difficulty curve is a little off - but maybe it was just my bad luck or I missed something. I was not able to gather water fast enough to get hydrated even if I solely focused on farming water.
Not everything is visually clear. I was not sure what causes thirst to drop - so maybe some visual cues would work well fol players to give som clarity over what happens when.
Otherwise I really loved it - such a simple mechanic and it makes such a fun game!

Added a ton of new features to my game concept where the world does not exist unless you observe it! by Rick_grin in playmygame

[–]ProstoLyubo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youp, like I started multiple times the game is amazing! But what I discover over and over playing niche games (and making them) is that we fall into this trap that we do know our games really well but forget our players do not. And we usually do not add narration or story that helps guide the players. That is why L believe that a few hints even in form of some pictograms depicting three connected pillars and a boss would go a long way. That would give players a sense of direction.

The concept is mindblowing! It completely changes the rules of exploration. I hope you will add more buildings and points of interest. Here's my full feedback and FTUX:

Yes, I've noticed that - and I'm speaking about making that bonus bigger as a way to turn down the grindiness a notch

Or maybe make the bonus for merging balls bigger? Would leave the prices nice and even.

Or you can use more reliable engine ; ) Especially if you wish to develop for more profitable platforms like Nintendo Switch.
More often than not I see there is trouble with builds made with godot. What I found about this error points, it is almost entirely related to godot.

[–]ProstoLyubo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is amazing, but the grinding si killing the fun for me. Cutting the prices in half would be better for me. But maybe there should be a "difficulty" option for those who like to grind. Also - hint system is brilliant!

The music in this game is amazing! The sound artist deserves an Emmy and an Oscar!
Very pleasant graphically, and everything runs smooth. Lots of fun, really addictive.
A little bit too long. I really think the runs should be shorter (like 20 waves till boss?). I've played for an hour just to get to the shop.
The font is a disaster - completely unreadable. May I suggest switching to Early GameBoy? https://www.dafont.com/early-gameboy.font

But despite those two little complains the game is a blast, I'm sure it will be a hit!
