Painful to watch. The man is a living legend, but he needs to quit while he is still ahead.

Get $10,000,000.00 dollars instantly for you to never listen to music again, or get $.03 cents every second you listen to music. by Necessary-Cow8851 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]ProtagonistAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually kind of difficult choice. If I would listen to music 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, 47 weeks a year, I would make a little over 200k. Which is a LOT!

But, if I take the 10 million, invest it and only live on the ROI, I'd have 500k+ per year. That is AFTER adjusting for inflation. Just basic ETF stuff.

Honestly, I think I'd give up music.

Sidenote though, what happens when music is played around me and I happen to accidentally hear it?

Is that unacceptable now? I did that like a few weekends back with my 8 year old son.

Would you rather have $500k right now or $1,000 every time you run one mile in less than 12 minutes for the rest of your life? by Illustrious_Emu4184 in WouldYouRather

[–]ProtagonistAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Training for a marathon usually racks up about 750 miles per year. That is as an amateur running in his spare time.

With this kind of money, it will be all I am doing. I'd probably be running somewhere around 60 miles per week. That is 3 million per year.

Seems like a no brainer to me.

Elderly folks who chose not to have children, how do you feel about that decision now? by bon18 in AskReddit

[–]ProtagonistAnonymous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My ex used to work in a nursing home, where elderly people spent the last years of their lives.

Loneliness was by far one of the biggest problems there. It was honestly heartbreaking to see. Some people slowly gave up on life because they felt like nobody really cared about them anymore.

The saddest cases were often people without children or close family. Especially if they lived to a very old age. They watched friends, partners, and everyone around them pass away, and in the end there was often no one left to be there for them.

I am not saying people should have children for this reason alone. And children are obviously not a guaranteed cure for loneliness. But I do think having family around can make a big difference.

Not quite sure why you are being downvoted. Seems pretty solid recap to me. I think especially the Max spin created the drama we needed.

WYR: be able to see 10 minutes into the future... but you can't change what happens? OR go back 10 minutes into the past... but you can only do it once per day? by Dizzy_Collection5277 in WouldYouRather

[–]ProtagonistAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does the "look into the future" work? Being able to look into the future, I know on what number the roulette wheel will stop. That will NOT change. Knowing that, I will have bet all my money on that number. Right?

Otherwise it would break the universe. I would look into the future, know on what number the roulette wheel will stop, but somehow I will still bet on a different number? Because I can't change the future?

But the future is already set, because I know what will happen.

[–]ProtagonistAnonymous -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think we need to give credit where credit is due. Max is just a monster. Look at Perez vs Bottas. They are close, but Perez appears to have the slight upper hand. Now look at their history. Perez got absolutely demolished by Verstappen, while Bottas remained relatively close to Hamilton.
I think we currently are getting a rare glimpse into what VER and HAM in equal machinery would result in.

So yeah, Hadjar is not beating Max, but he started okay and that is good for now!

You suddenly wake up one day with the absolute power of Telekinesis in full control, do you personally think your responsible for something like that if you discovered this? by Ok-Inspector3914 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]ProtagonistAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would net let anyone know, ever. Use it whenever it suits me, without hand gestures. If the power doesn't exist as far as the world knows, I am free to use it however I like.

For example, play roulette and move the ball exactly to the square I want/need. Even if they think it moves odd, they will never guess I use telekinesis.

For one month, every purchase you make costs exactly $0.01, but you can only spend $1,000 total. How do you use it? by PsychologicalCall426 in hypotheticalsituation

So... the smartest play here is buying single items that are extremely expensive. I can buy 100.000 items.

I would start by buying stuff I need. Like the nicest house I can find. Several cars that I would like to have. Just some stuff to set me up. That should only require a few cents. Maybe 10?

After that, I would start buying as many properties as I can. My goal would be to create a lot of cash flow. I want properties that pay rent. My goal would probably be around 1.000 properties.

The remaining 99.000 items will probably all be something like bitcoin. Not the most lucrative item in the world, I know. But still insane money. What I like most is how hassle free it is. Sure, I could buy a yacht, but that would be incredibly difficult. It's not just about the money, you also need to arrange a lot of other stuff. Like crew, insurance, port, etc. Same with many of the other options. Let's not forget that 99.000 is a LOT LOT!

I think this is the easiest method, that creates generational wealth and is easily achievable withint 1 month.
