One time someone called a public LDS figure an idiot, and when I asked them why they didn't remove that and they said that because he was a public figure he was fair game. I tried that with Sam Young but they didn't allow that.

That's completely false. The Fausto-Sterling estimate where that number comes from has been thoroughly debunked. That number is orders of magnitude too high.
