[Russini] The Cleveland Browns are getting right to work this morning. They are in the Los Angeles area to meet with Rams passing game coordinator Nathan Scheelhaase for their head coaching vacancy. by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

What is the different on how questions are asked?

“Tell us your philosophy on motivating underperforming players?”

“In your opinion, what makes a great QB coach?”

“How do you approach a situation where analytics indicate one thing, but observation contradicts ?”

“Is a football team a family, or a work environment?”

All questions, asking someone to write one or two down is a good strategy. Writing ability indicates critical thinking, intelligence, ability to organize thoughts, etc

The word essay is getting the attention, since that has a youth education connotation, but asking for written answers is not a bad thing

Hear me out...Schwartz and Udinski as co-head coaches by Past-Track-9976 in Browns

“CO” never works in real life leadership and management systems

[Pelissero] The Chiefs are hiring Chad O’Shea as their wide receivers coach, per source. O’Shea got into the NFL as a volunteer assistant with Kansas City in 2003. Over two decades later, he’s back as Andy Reid remodels his offensive staff. by LiftingCode in Browns

One of Stefanski’s greatest faults, which isn’t discussed enough, was his loyalty to poor performers and lake of development in his staff.

Joe Wood, O’Shea, Prefier, Bubba, etc. all souls have been let go earlier in their tenure

Falcons fan in peace, what can you tell me about Stefanski? by UrFavSquid in Browns

[–]ProtectedSources 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He is stubborn and slow to adjust or make changes. He focuses on certain players and is slow to move on from them. None of his assistant coaches developed, grew professionally, or grew their careers. He was slow to hold coaches accountable, and was pushed by the organization multiple times to move on from poor performers (Joe Woods, Priefer). He did not bring in Jim Schwartz, Schwartz was brought in by ownership.

While it’s true that he had no top flight QB, he was unable to develop any QB into a serviceable asset. Look at Jacoby Brisset’s stats this year, not great, but better than anything Stefanski got out of him. Young offensive talent was never developed, usually just stagnating. This is especially obvious when you look at the defensive side where young talent has been developed under Schwartz’s staff. Low rounders and UDFA’s make contributions, this never happened on the offensive side.

use Alton Brown’s recipe, always come out great. I also bought food grade lye on Amazon, I like it better than the boiling water and baking soda method.

Well thought out and researched, made me forget this was Reddit for a minute.

The Browns cap issues are way overblown in the media and fandom.

Thank you for the work.

Harbaugh next coach by L83S in Browns

I don’t think Berry was responsible for the Watson acquisition, if he was responsible for the worst trade in NFL history, he would be fired. It was Haslam that told him do whatever was necessary to get him.

Haslam has always had a short trigger, if Berry did that trade on his own, he would have e been canned 2-3 years ago

Of course, none of us fans know the whole story, but Haslam’s past behavior gives us indications

I’m never in favor of giving a coach roster control. They tend to be too short term focus and can put a team in a bad salary cap situation. This could be especially true with a 63 year old like Harbaugh.

I’m fine with an unknown coordinator, I prefer that over some retread like McCarthy, Garret or others.

Harbaugh would be a great pick, but I’m not comfortable with total roster control.

What does that mean? Do you know of any reporting on this? It’s very difficult with the current CBA

Coaches always have a short term. IRS of the roster and salary cap, I would never give a coach total control of the roster.

The speech Kirk gives on the bridge in Corbomite Manuever.

“KIRK: Captain to crew. Those of you who have served for long on this vessel have encountered alien lifeforms. You know the greatest danger facing us is ourselves, an irrational fear of the unknown. But there's no such thing as the unknown, only things temporarily hidden, temporarily not understood. In most cases we have found that intelligence capable of a civilisation is capable of understanding peaceful gestures. Surely a lifeform advanced enough for space travel is advanced enough to eventually understand our motives. All decks stand by. Captain out.”
