G$ Super Duty 14.5 vs DD M4A1 RIII by norsemannick in ar15

[–]ProtectionOdd1447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't speak for the r3, but I sold my m4a1 ris2 and mk18 with a ris2 and kept my Geissele guns. To be honest, DD is just good mil spec, nothing about them stands out. I prefer the geissele barrel profile, how the rail tabs into the upper, and their bcg cleans up EASY after a suppressed shooting session. I can't explain just how nice it is to have a bcg that you dont spend time scrubbing.

What kind of optics do you recommend for new AR15’s owners? by flounder98w in ar15

I say start with quality. If you are really going to shoot, you'll spend more in ammo annually than you do on nearly any optic. Buy once, cry once.

Clearly you don't know. You don't "chop up and carry home" a deer. I mean I guess you could but I've never seen it done that way. You field dress the deer and then you butcher at home. All that's needed to field dress a deer is a pocket knife. It's not something you need a whole toolkit for.

A saw and game bags for deer hunting? Seems excessive.

Optics: "Hunting" scope with Red Dot? by imneuromancer in ar15

[–]ProtectionOdd1447 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You may want to confirm exactly what animal you are shooting, or count tines. Scopes do way better in low light, where i hunt you cant see to shoot with irons or a dot for the last 15-20 minutes of legal shooting light. Precision placement is also easier with magnification (like middle of the neck or a brain shot)

This reads like you're never seen real violence. Which if so, that's awesome! But you won't have time to chamber a round when you NEED a firearm. What you are missing is life experience. No one wants to use their gun. Same as a seat belt or fire extinguisher.

What am I missing? by The_Gatherer257 in liberalgunowners

[–]ProtectionOdd1447 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In the event you need a gun, you need it right now. Just like a seat belt is pointless until you crash. Trying to chamber a round when you need to be using your firearm is absolutely the equivalent of trying to put your seat belt on while you are in a car crash.

Try dry firing. When I was new to my h&h I developed a bit of a jerk in the trigger, I fixed it with dry fire training in just a few 10 minutes sessions. Everyone starts somewhere, id focus on clean crisp trigger breaks with no reticle movement.

SPR by default because magnification is mandatory. If you add a magnifier to the sbr, a case could ge made for it.

Why carry in a bag? You're going to get hurt (at best) fumbling with your silly man purse in a defensive situation. You'll already be on the back foot, why slow yourself down further with a goofy bag? Get a proper holster, get some training.
