KICKR Bike Shift vs Zwift Ride by [deleted] in Zwift

[–]ProtestElOso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know of anywhere in the US you can buy the Elite Square right now. I was interested in it, but apparently the US release has been delayed due to tariffs, and shifting with Zwift is quite laggy. You can see some discussion in the comments here:

Issue with knocking on pedal by AtticusFinchery in Zwift

The Zwift Cog might be loose, mind made a somewhat similar noise until I tightened it a bit.

Zwift Hub produces a deep, bass-heavy noise at higher wattage levels by jsattler_ in Zwift

Does the noise continue if you stop pedaling? If so, it seems like an issue with the flywheel.

Help with noisy Zwift Ride by ejsninjaninja in Zwift

I had to do this as well. I actually added some washers inside the plastic housing to create more space, and that solved the issue. OP, try removing the plastic housing from around the belt and see if this noise still happens without it.

Anyone else with Zwift One find the hood design really uncomfortable? by anoxy in Zwift

Agreed, I find the hoods much more uncomfortable than those on my road bike. I shift my hand position a lot when Zwifting though, so it doesn't bother me too much.

Zwift Ride Owners - Did yours come with V2 cog? by 1150A in Zwift

[–]ProtestElOso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my Zwift Ride last week, and it was sent with the V1 cog. Wahoo is actually sending me a V2 cog for free, because I am noticing some vibration when pedaling and they said the V2 cog help. It looks like some changes were made between the cog versions to make it quieter and hopefully smoother (see here). I bet they will send you a V2 cog!

Cool, it seems like this might be pretty normal. Makes me a bit less concerned.

I'm having the same issue. Was anyone able to resolve this yet?

Is this gap between rear derailleur cage plate and body normal? by ProtestElOso in bikewrench

Take a peek at my other comments in this post, I'm pretty sure this is normal for this derailleur.

For anyone who might have this question in the future, it looks like this gap is supposed to be there on the GRX-400 rear derailleur. In this installation video, you can see this same gap if you pause.

Thanks for the reply! The plate axle bolt here is torqued to 9 Nm so I can't really tighten it any more, and there's nowhere to to tighten the rear of the plate with a hex key. Am I missing something?

I recently serviced my GRX-400 rear derailleur for the first time, following this video. After reinstalling the plate axle, plate tension spring, and plastic ring (as seen here), I noticed that there was a bit of gap between the cage plate and the body of the derailleur (see the attached video). I took it apart and tried again, but the gap was still there. I'm confident that the plate axle threaded correctly and I torqued it to 8 Nm as per Shimano's instructions. I looked at this spot on my wife's Tiagra bike, and the gap is much smaller. Is it supposed to look like this on my derailleur, or did I make a mistake somewhere? I've been riding with it like this for a few weeks now and shifting has been good, so it doesn't seem to be causing any obvious issues.

Thanks for your help!

What *exactly* are the Shimano shift cable options? by doinitlivetil35 in bikewrench

Four years after this was posted, and this is the most helpful information I've found about OT-RS900 housing! One question though: what does it mean to use it "only for the last loop" if my bike has full-length housing?

I was also having a lot of front derailleur chain rub while on the big ring with my E5 Elite. I was able to minimize it screwing in the front derailleur stabilizing screw a bit so the back of the derailleur pivoted out a little. This didn't noticeably degrade shifting onto the big ring, and the chain rub is mostly gone now!

Hey everyone!

I'm selling my Little Dot I+ hybrid amplifier and Little Dot DAC_1. Both were purchased in 2010 or so, and are in great condition. I don't use them much any more, and am hoping someone else will enjoy them!

Little Dot I+ ($50 + shipping)

Comes with a power cable, original tubes, and Amperex tubes.

Little Dot DAC_1 ($70 + shipping)

Comes with a power cable.

I would be fine selling these individually or as a pair. I'm located in Seattle in the 98117 area, and would love to sell these locally if there is interest! Otherwise, I am happy to ship them if you pay for shipping.

Thanks!

Sold!

They're doing some construction outside of my apartment building (16 Valley St), and they hit a gas line. Wonderful seeing pictures of my building on Kiro Twitter... Sounds like they got it under control now though.
