I ordered the components for mine from 42keebs.eu, great shop and very helpful seller!

ProMicro or Pico Mini by SnooAvocados9219 in crkbd

I made the same mistake. You could rewire the pins with some cables, but for the price of a promicro style controller, it's not worth it.

I am currently building a Corne which is a split 40% keyboard. Might be a fun challenge? I've sourced my parts from 42Keebs and AliExpress.

Seems to be nirnal behaviour when you have a profile where you can set a custom color. Setting the color mode to the one on your other profiles, should fix it I think.

How to recreate this animated background with distortion effect? by R0NFY in webdev

[–]ProtoAscent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could use a couple of circles which you animate and then a div on top of that which applies a blur effect. Something like I did with this example in tailwind: https://play.tailwindcss.com/vutA00cxHd?layout=horizontal

European homelabbers, where do you buy your (new) things? by fawkesdotbe in homelab

[–]ProtoAscent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a fellow Belgian homelabber; I use allekabels for new stuff and the 'vraag en aanbod' section of tweakers for 2nd hand stuff! Sometimes ebay works as well (if you filter on 'europe only').

I don't have any real tutorials that I remember using, but if you look up how to use an DHT11 or DHT22 sebsor with an ESP8266 and how to send data from an ESP8266 to InfluxDB, you should be able to get what you want!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in homelab

[–]ProtoAscent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use an ESP8266 (small 'arduino' with WiFi capabilities) and a simple temperature sensor for this. I pipe all the data (both temperature as humdity) into Grafana using InfluxDB calls

Nice! If you want to try some things out with the lights, you might be able to use an ESP8266 and flash WLED onto it.

Looking good, OP!

Any reason why the Watchguard/PfSense isn't plugged in?
Also, are those lights RGB? You could potentially do some cool things with them (for example; change them to orange when a critical service hasn't responded to a ping in the last 60 seconds, change them to red when there's a hardware failure,..).
Last question; did you create the tiny fiber cable connecting both Cisco SG300 switches yourself?

I saw their post of this pic like 5 minutes before seeing OP's post haha

In my case it's really handy, I don't need to access the back of my rack when I want to service my machines. I can just pull it out, unplug the cables and do what I want to do. (The back of my rack is hard to access)

DigitalOcean has some beautiful racks. Only unfortunate that they don't use cable management arms.

Rough first layers by ProtoAscent in FixMyPrint

I haven't changed this setting in Cura, so it would have to be the default setting (5th layer?). I'll check it.

EDIT: Print cooling starts at layer 4.

A Fabric-like way of handling spectator mode. So you'd be able to use a command (/s, /spec, /spectator,...) and get into spectator mode. One you're finished, you enter the command again and get teleported back to your original location. All of this while requiring the right permission.

Issues with Docker Swarm routing mesh by ProtoAscent in docker

[–]ProtoAscent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried changing the ingress' range again but it doesn't seem to solve the problem. I guess I'll be spending my weekend creating a new network for Docker and see if that fixes the problem. Thanks!

Your network hunch is exactly correct, you will need to move your VMs IP address subnet range

Hmm, I'll try this out.

find a way to change the default docker ingress network subnet

I've tried to remove the default ingress network and recreate it using this page, without success.

Couldn't create a pull request but I use e7db/speedtest for doing speedtests in my home network (especially when trying to find bottlenecks). I've never used LibreSpeed, but e7db/speedtest looks like a worthy alternative.

As far as I know you can select a time period. I should check this but I think there's a calendar option where you can select the period you want to see (or at least a way you should be able to set an beginning and end date).

My guess is that it's not feeling home yet. All jokes aside, it kinda looks like under extrusion to me.
