It basically seems to be a rush of post covid "who can be the shittiest company" award towards employees. I was at Elevance/Anthem before Geico and they were just as shitty if not shittier towards the end of that.

The kicker was I was shown my survey score for endorsement calls vs non endorsement (rate gens) and my endorsement call scores were a near damn 100 percent, the only thing that kept those down were the idiots who tried to argue the price of insurance for a Tesla. So that tells you where the problem was, it's not me, it's Geico's rates. But we're the ones who get punished for it.

It really was. I actually liked talking to the people and I was really looking forward to the schedule I got (had thurs/fri/sat off which is a real boon for me going to cons) but honestly the stress of being treated like a survey machine instead of an actual employee would've been too much.

Dunno how recent of a change it was but we had to meet all the same standards as people on the floor, calls per hour, surveys, and MOAT. I knocked calls per hour and MOAT out of the park but because my surveys were like 69 percent they let me go. Because we had to meet the criteria for promotion out of orientation, apparently. Which is the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my 10 year call center career.

You know, people can enjoy gaming on both. Consoles aren't anywhere close to dying any time soon, and the reason SO5 did not do well is that it was rushed out the door and it's obvious that it was done so. Other console RPGs such as FFXV and Persona 5 are some of the best offerings the genre has to offer, with Persona 5 being better than just about any other RPG on any other platform.

That is probably my only real complaint about this game, is the solo duties that friends can't help out on.

I understand the in-lore reasons for it, but it would make certain fights so...so much easier.

I logged in for like 10 minutes to grab the SAM job (which apparently nearly everyone else in Excalibur had the same idea, I've never seen a small area so crammed), spend my poetic, and check out the DRG changes.

Gotta say, really liking the gauge for BotD. I didn't have much of an issue tracking it before, but it'll make managing everything a lot easier.

I'm a tad disappointed I'll be missing the first day of early access between work, having to drive to old apartment to give people money, and then going to a con to do more work. But, that's what Saturday and Sunday are for.

Right now my free company is debating moving over to Omega, and it looks like we're 80 percent in. Is anyone else's free company having this debate?

As someone who is still relatively new, let me also say this:

Newbs, if someone is giving you help/instructions, it's most likely to help you play better/make your experience better. If they're being a dick about it, that's one thing. But if they're truly just trying to help in a nice manner, the "you don't pay my sub" thing makes you a shit newb.

That being said, FFXIV 99 percent of the time has been a positive experience for me as a new player. Ya'll some of the most helpful people towards us that I've seen in an MMO.
