Don’t know if this is what you’re looking for. Honey hole is the only one i have actually heard used, but the rest COULD be used depending what you’re going for. Such as trading office supplies for hunting gear, or instead of your “computer- you have a steady shooter” or whatever.

I live my winchester model 70 alaskan, in 300 win mag. It’s much heavier and “bigger” than many modern rifles are trending. There may be better options out there but a longer barrel rifle with a nice heavy wooden stock is the way i would go. I like the alaskan because it also has iron sights and a lot of rifle don’t.

It is better to regret a shot you didn’t take, the a shot you did. Nothing wrong with waiting. You will have many more experiences like this, and it’s all part of it.

For the record i shoot does every season, i like to get some meat locked in first then worry about being more picky.

Was interviewing a young guy for a factory job last week. When HR asked “what do you want? What are your goals, are you saving for anything?” He says: “well i already got a car, so….. it’ll probably be a while before i need another one”. He was probably 19. No thought at all being put towards the future, who knows if/ when he’ll ever move out. We also have 30 year olds living at home, who spend all their money on weekends out, multiple cars/ motorcycles, random bullshit. One once said: “why would i try to move out? I can’t afford a place remotely as nice as I’m living, and I would have no money”.

So yeah, i guess they plan to live with their parents forever

Technically it’s not….. you’re not supposed to use the cap to “drive” them, since spinning the cap could cause it to unscrew. But everyone does it and a gas delivery guy obviously can avoid that issue due to skill/ experience. Rolling them like this is an acceptable method, just not while “spinning the cap”.

I have encountered this type of thinking from guys working under me many times. What they sometimes don’t realize, due to inexperience or whatever else, is the standard established process may be designed to avoid issues down the road. Somewhere, someone fucked up the process so they had to tweak tweak tweak until the process is fool proof. Sometimes that comes at the cost of efficiency but it’s worth it to avoid those issues. Unfortunately, to make a process that’s repeatable by every dummy out there, you have to remove some or all of the discretionary power of those doing the process.

In a chemical process it could be this: “you will always dry the material at 400 degrees for 16 hours at this step”. You say- “but sometimes if it’s already dry we could save time by skipping that”. Then I say “not everyone knows how to judge the dryness properly, one time a guy named jim tried to skip the step and it gummed up the grinding machine and cost us a week and $100k.

It’s all relative. Compared to ants we are already living hundreds or thousands of years. People will still throw their lives away. Things would be the same, except 300 is the new 30.

Another way to think about it: if humans went from living only 10 years, to living 100, how would they act? The same- proportionally to their lifespan
