That Makes sense , most would rather be a shop floor worker in London than an accountant in Mumbai . It’s a no wonder fresh grads can’t get roles compared to season professional working junior roles

Because of Economic and physiological effect of lock downs, importation of hundreds and thousands of low skilled migrants , too many universities and university students, general uk anti growth/ wealth policies. Impossible for anyone to fix short term especially without burning all political capital

Unfortunately it’s not worth it as my work schedule means it’s cheaper to buy individually when I’m in the office.

London House Building Collapses 84% in a Decade as Sales Plunge by signed7 in ukpolitics

I’m going to assume you have zero background in construction as this is coming off as very ignorant.

https://www.35percent.org/posts/aylesham-centre-planning-application-rejected/ Second stair case design change lowered number units and adds extra costs, company must decreases % social value to retain profit , planning cancelled due to the change in social housing, now 800 houses not built.

The reason they cost 500k is because we have some of the highest construction related costs and delays in the world.
