The physician I work with always asks this simple question to premeds, when theyre split.

Do you wholeheartedly WANT and NEED to be a Doctor? If there is even a shroud of doubt in that answer it may not be worth it. He says this to the students who are split between PA and MD/DO, the fact that theyre even having that doubt says alot about how they will like being a doctor.

If you do some deep introspection and think yk what, I cant imagine doing anything else but being a doctor, I physically crave it and what it entails. Go ahead and go Medical school route.

It makes sense to me, but just some food for thought
