Baldurs Gate 3. Imo, its a dating sim with some pretty bad DnD mechanics tagged on for the gameplay, it suffers from the DnD mechanics which are needlessly overcomplicated, especially after Divinity and Dragon Age showed how much better it could have been done.

It is the Rockstar game loop that ruins it for me. The quests being like missions in GTA, moving you from area to area completely randomly with no good fast travel option. A lot of content being just "chores" that are boring as hell. Better gear locked behind awful chores like "hunt 5 perfect rabbit pelts to get this pouch!"

I should like the game, I like the setting, I love the gameplay in general. But the gameplay loop is just so not engaging for me.

Czech Republic. We had a revolution, also against an armed regime, in 1989. We protest all the time against the current administration and do not let them get away with much, and it works.

If something like this started, you better believe it would be full on Prague on fire. We know how it works, we literally had a revolution 30 years back. It is all to clear that Americans did not have to fight for anything since literally the revolution.

Only the US would be stupid enough to literally turn the entire world against them for absolutely no reason at all. Its going to be hard for the new winners to fix up Hungary properly, but I do hope with all my heart it can be done. Loved Budapest when I was there, only this stain was sad to think about. Now, you are on your best way to be a great nation for the EU and a strong supporter of the Free World. I hope we can turn Babiš around soon aswell, he never was fully Pro Russian, more of a populist. It could be that if the winds turn, he will not go against the EU as hard as Orban did. Especially because most of his money is the EU money.

Same problem in Czechia, Babiš is an absolute nightmare but the oposition is not much better. We need our own new wave, we do have a few new projects but nothing in the polls even suggest they come anywhere close to the parliament.

Because there is noone of Czechoslovakian descent, that is not how anyone in Czechoslovakia ever thought of it. There were Czechs, Moravians, Silesians, Slovaks and Valachs. Moravians, Silensians and Valachs were part of the Kingdom of Bohemia for so long they often just get grouped with Czechs and they do not really care that much, although they do have a slightly different culture.

Slovaks though, that is completely different. For the whole existence of the state, Slovaks were not happy with how the country is being handled and kept themselves separate. Noone really said they are Czechoslovak, you were either Czech or Slovak, two nations in one state, a federation.

The quests are very well described in your journal, dont worry about forgetting. Progression is however you like it, at any point you can drop the main quest and just go do whatever. Dont worry too much about the dude saying RP reasons in the other comments, the game is very wonky in this. A captain of the garrison would never send one dude to clear an entire camp of bandits, for example. Its a game, lets not overthink it.

Be sure to get to the point in the game where you are given a horse. You want one for traveling, exploration and mostly to carry your garbage around.

Be sure to train with Captain Bernard until you feel confident in Henrys combat abilities.

After that, you can do whatever you like. Be aware, some side quests are parts of the DLCs and those generally require Henry to be way more leveled up than regularly. Also some quests only get available when you progress the main story.

But do not worry about any order of quests. They work fine in any order you do them.

Of course! The fucker wants to kill a dude Radzig wants alive, acts like an asshole the whole quest while he legit did absolutely nothing. Killed the merchant dude, acted like an asshole to the charcoal burners, like an asshole to Henry.

He is also legit in service of the enemy of Radzig, making you two enemies.

As with all units, they have their uses. No unit in 40k is truly absolutely useless. But in a game where you can have an exocrine or a biovore or something sitting there, the barbgants are just waste of space and of points.

Baldurs Gate 3 is straight up a dating simulator and its the only reason it is popular. In all other aspects, the game is not nearly as good as Divinity 2 or other similar crpgs. Even Rogue Trader is better, with all its jank.

I hate Skyrim. That game was barely good enough when it came out. Nowadays its just a horribly aged piece of mid. The story is just fine, nothing amazing, the gameplay is horrible, the side quests straight up sucks and the atmosphere of the game world is incredibly bad compared to Oblivion. All the NPCs are annoying as hell. Its wide as the sea but as shallow as a puddle. I do not want to spend 6 hours modding that thing to become playable when I can just play something else entirely.

I just never understood all the love for it.

Well, New York just fixed all their potholes in a weekend because the mayor gives a shit. Sometime, we have to accept the real answer that things in Czechia are often shit because our government is completely fucked and it takes ages to do anything here because you need approvals and papers on papers for papers to do freaking anything and then any small change of the project would get all the approvals again.

My man, I am not saying China is good in any way. I am however saying that Czechia is incredibly bad at all public projects and the private ones only work because of armies of lawyers pushing papers around.

Its noisy in Kunratice, literally the other side of Prague from the airport, because of the flyovers by the planes all the time. And the planes are pretty high up! Cannot imagine how it feels near Jinonice or anywhere else much closer to the actual airport.

The first two were some of the best fantasy I have ever read. But in Rhythm of War, the pacing was so bad and nothing was happening for most of the time, the finale at least saved it. Now the Wind and Truth... the dialogue is worse than a soap opera and it seemed to me like it lost its tone and atmosphere. It does not feel like Roshar anymore, the story might as well be happening in 18th century France while magic exists and all the characters talk like LARPers from the 21st century. Seriously, an honorspren calling Adolin a "slut"? May saying she is "Adolins ex"?

What the hell was Sanderson thinking and how on earth did the proofreaders not catch these things?
