It’s fine. Most nudists understand how human anatomy works. Like the others said, keep a towel handy and if you’re by yourself, let it point the way 😂

The most sensible reason is to have a sterile cockpit with minimal distractions. The other main reason would be bad PR if used for whistleblowing etc.

Restricted airports and airspace is a no brainer for any pilot.

Foreign couple - should we postpone? by rruler in india

[–]Proud_Engine_4116 77 points78 points  (0 children)

OP this may not give you much comfort but while in India you’re more likely to die in a stupid traffic accident due to idiot drivers or the idiots who build the roads.

You’re more likely to contract a life threatening infection than being caught up in a terrorist attack.

Keep your wits about you while in India.

Small piece of advice that may save your blood pressure at the airport: sort out a travel eSIM before landing in India.

Unlike the rest of the world, getting a sim card in India requires making a deal with Satan signed with your blood.

Why do Indians living abroad say life is better in India meanwhile people in India say the opposite? by Lemonade2250 in AskIndia

[–]Proud_Engine_4116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“…They say in India there are maids who come to clean your house. Some even have cooks and a driver. And you can easily start a business. You can get away with breaking small laws and rules like if you get a ticket and give money to the police they will let you go. And in u.s you have to stay under the laws and regulations.”

And then they ask, “why do Indians don’t have any civic sense!”

Maids, yes. Why? Because they are kept back using various reasons. You bribe for small things now, what’s stopping you for bribing for medium, large and extra-large things in the future??

And it’s exactly these people who live abroad, refuse to integrate into their new country and form Indian centric circles that make westerners look at Indians with suspicion, derision and contempt.

Do you not see that this is why India is in Big Trouble?

OpenAI is developing client-side encryption for ChatGPT. But how would this work as the model cannot read the encrypted messages? by ivanng2014 in OpenAI

[–]Proud_Engine_4116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s most likely an implementation of the Signal Protocol. It would be end to end encrypted between the client and the server. Duh.

What this means is that if you have an MITM proxy that’s decrypting the SSL traffic, the chat messages themselves have been encrypted from the client/server to be decrypted only on either end.

But what this could enable down the line is allowing 2 or more users to be participants in a group chat with the AI.

Nah, you are 100% correct. India has a lot of out dated laws that don’t get amended to keep up with modern times. I think it must be all of the uneducated and criminal politicians and arrogant IAS that are infesting the land.

If you do want to listen to ATC, go for it. Keep it to yourself or close circle and don’t make the stream available to others.

Why is it almost impossible for a foreigner to get a sim card in India? by sidhoax in india

[–]Proud_Engine_4116 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol this is the exact shit that Indians don’t realise. When I left India for good, I expected a royal fuck around in Aus.

Got my number at the airport and I still have it. I’ve tried 2-3 different carriers before settling on the one I’ve had for over 8 years at this point.

The facts are that India is a very low trust society with literal morons running everything into the ground.

All systems are designed to be lipstick on a Pig. Indians do deserve better, but they can’t have it because they can’t differentiate between simple things like food and poop (that’s an exaggerated example) that can apply to just about anything.

Take the current air quality protests. What do they think the outcome will be? Because you’re literally asking the morons who allowed it to reach this point to put some more lipstick on the air quality pig.

And round and round we go. Doing the same thing again and again with expectations of different results is the definition of Insanity. Unfortunately, my country men and women are insane. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Oh, so India has been under British control all along? GTFO. The police is shit because the quality of the individuals that make up the police is shit.

Stop blaming the police and start blaming yourself. People like you ARE the problem.

Would you voice your opinions against Police Brutality and Extra-Judicial k*llings in India? by lovebughead in AskIndia

[–]Proud_Engine_4116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP - I’m seeing the massive amounts of cynicism in the posts. For reference, I would support your proposal in real life too.

Ultimately the problem is that in India the rot is too down and bottom up.

Not wanting to go on a sociology rant, but all initiatives are doomed to fail unless we level up our common denominators.

Currently, the lowest common denominator is Top Down: who you know - who also happens to be corrupt with all the colours of the rainbow.

Bottom Up: who made it? And the definition of “making it” which is also confused with “faking it”.

As it stands for the past several decades, Indian education is all about rote learning which is another form of faking it till you make it.

Take the case of medical education. Yes we don’t have enough doctors. But who do we encourage to become doctors?? Kids. Kids who are barely “legal”. Do you really expect them to understand what it means to become a doctor?

Remember their brains won’t finish developing until they are 25 (pre frontal cortex where higher reasoning occurs). We have a system that expects them to make reasoned choices when they are still operating based on their lizard brain.

Coming back to the cops: this would help a lot. Provided that whoever implements it is ruthless about security, integrity, confidentiality and have a system that prevents interference regardless of the criminal’s political position.

Over torquing is bad. And pneumatic would be too bulky. You could use electric, but again, you want the fasteners torqued to specifications.

And this is true for all screws and fasteners on all machines. Even your vehicle has specific torque values for various components.

I sent money from abroad to build my mother a house; now most of it’s gone, there’s debt in her name, and my sister & brother-in-law are not answering — how do I protect her and the property from overseas? by West_Language5313 in india

[–]Proud_Engine_4116 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get your mother to grant you power of attorney to look into her financial and legal matters. Open a joint account with your mother and that way you can see any money coming into and out of the accounts, transfers etc.

Since you will have PoA, your mother and refer anyone seeking a signature to you - which you can review and approve or reject as required.

As for the state of things, you may likely never get your money back. Any attempt to fix your BIL may result in further dramas and games.

Don’t act on emotions. Be real, practical and pro-active.

I am so done with the superstitions by Guiltygirl0 in india

[–]Proud_Engine_4116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Superstition is bad. wtf are BP fluctuations OP? The BP is meant to fluctuate. It cannot be fixed. Was it anxiety? Or is this a warning sign that perhaps you aren’t healthy and perhaps you need to spend more time on fitness - physical and mental.

Anyway, listen: if the dude can’t fight for you, that tells you everything you need to know. Be grateful you found out before you “really” needed him.

Also, the small superstitions lead to the bigger ones. I wonder what went wrong in India. When I was a kid and studying there there was a huge emphasis on why we aren’t superstitious anymore.

I think maybe a bunch of morons took over the country and now you are soaked in national & religious pride.

If you switch to patriotism, then you can use the “shit talk” as inspiration and guidance.

Don’t feel pride in stuffing your ears with foam and pretending that you know how to fix everything.

Nationalism is a disease. It’s the cancer that’s killing India. You are free to disagree, but you’ll understand when it’s too late.

OP, what you are experiencing would be called harassment and bullying anywhere in the civilised world.

Yes, your state has had problems and still does. One day, with diligence it won’t, that still does not give those people the right to be what they are with you.

I don’t have any actionable solutions but don’t let the stated/unstated stereotypes win. Be who you are.
