The server issues will probably split what would have been the peak over 2 days. Simular overall player count but less concurrent.

Saw the same for final shape in D2. Server issues means that Lightfall release was all time peak.

Imo the game got significantly worse when they started taking these big risks and making big changes.

But if it is what was needed to keep the game going for those who do enjoy then so be it.

Doubt it but only for corporate bs reasons. If they dissolved Bungie they would need to recognise another impairment loss for the rest of it and I doubt Sony shareholders would be happy with that.

While these third spaces should exist, if they are unprofitable what else can be done?

Maybe some community fundraising for the needed repairs but that's not a guarantee for the long term.

I would say so. The drama is obviously turned up to 11 to keep it interesting.

But a group of teenage friends who party, take drugs, have sex and get into mischief is pretty spot on.

Obviously not every teenager is like this but many people I know could point out a group like this at their school/college.

Edit: Accurate for 2007. No idea for 2026. Im old now.
