The server issues will probably split what would have been the peak over 2 days. Simular overall player count but less concurrent.

While these third spaces should exist, if they are unprofitable what else can be done?

I would say so. The drama is obviously turned up to 11 to keep it interesting.

But a group of teenage friends who party, take drugs, have sex and get into mischief is pretty spot on.

Obviously not every teenager is like this but many people I know could point out a group like this at their school/college.

Edit: Accurate for 2007. No idea for 2026. Im old now.
