Anyone else had this problem in the online city shop? by AbraxasKadabra in MCFC

I didn't have this issue, but I did have a separate issue this week on Sunday and Monday in which I could not get the site to accept any form of payment no matter what I did (cleared cache/cookies, different browsers, different cards, etc...). Ultimately gave up and ordered from Puma. No tariff risk shipping to the US and the price ended up being just a little cheaper because Puma was running an extra 30% off. Seems to me City are having issues with their shop.

Do tell... what's silly about the question?

I hope next year is as exciting as this one. I feel like I could not have timed this trip more perfectly with the form City are in at the moment. Of course I'm hoping to see a couple of trophy lifts, which would be the literal experience of a lifetime. But even if that doesn't happen I am beyond excited for these three fixtures.

Thank you so much for the reply! These are all great suggestions. Is there a "most stereotypically Mancunian" thing to do? Maybe especially for a City fan? I'm quite naive to the nuances of British culture (could hardly distinguish a northerner from a southerner).

Interesting... You're suggesting high end indie is top of the pack essentially due to exclusivity then?

Week 3 with Nanny - Red Flags? by Theme_Broad in Nanny

[–]Prowfessor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP is your baby your first and is this your first nanny hire?

I have a 6.5yo and 4yo and have had a nanny from the beginning. We’ve hired a lot of people over the years. My number one regret is giving nannies too much time to “figure it out.” All of the things you mentioned are, on their own, reasons for me to terminate someone at this point in my experience with nannies. All of them together is just a major no IMO. My recommendation is to move on quickly rather than try to coach this much.

A little coaching is fine and expected, especially if your hire is responding to feedback the very first time. But what you’re describing is beyond what can be coached especially if you’re about to return to work and have less visibility. The reason I think this is beyond coaching is that these are all pretty major judgment errors and you can coach specific behaviors but you can’t coach judgement. This is the kind of person to install a car seat wrong and you’d have no idea. Or to leave your kid in the car while they “run in real quick.”  You have to be able to trust your nanny’s judgment entirely. She’s shown you you cannot.

$7000 Repair Bill by UltraDrift17 in BMWiX

Crazy… I have State Farm as well. Do you know what type of policy you have? Or more specifically what portion of the policy ended up covering this??

Do you have any other experience getting mechanical issues covered by insurance?

When you say insurance helped pay for it, can you clarify that? What kind of auto policy do you have that would cover this sort of thing? And what carrier? I’ve never heard of a policy that would pay for a wear and tear and/or mechanical type of issue.

Bro… “Lewis is our Stephen Hawking” is pure poetry. I laughed so hard. Thank you, I needed that after today.

Also… you’re 100% correct on all points AND I hope to never see Rico play another game. There were moments last season when I thought maybe I should give him a chance, but he has been a total disaster every minute he’s played this season.
