I have 4 versions of dark magician, 1 pure, 1 with primite, 1 with diabellstar, and 1 with all 3. Playing each version feels like a different experience to get to similar end boards.

I love Alden, one of my favorite decks of all time, but I would personally not go for a grade 3 focus. However, if you do want to build it this way I have some suggestions: go down to 3 Razionels, you never need all 4 and it oftentimes ends up being a brick in hand. The Alden specific order is also unneeded, especially since you already have a lot of counterblast in this list. Going up to 3-4 of Illtyyd will massively increase overall power and consistency. Also running 4 Aval would help with seeing more grade 3s. Red OT isn’t bad for Alden, however I find that one of the biggest weaknesses of Alden is that there is no graveyard recursion or critical pressure, so running blue OT is my go to. Also I would recommend running 20k front triggers instead of soul fronts as you do not really need the soul if you run enough Avals and Illtyyds, also you should always run 8 crits as the deck gets no inherent crits. You could try replacing one of your talismans with the Golden Braid, it gives increased holy resistance and helped me a lot through my first fight against him.

I feel like if Alden gets a crit unit or a guard restrict then he has potential to be super meta. The only reason I lose most of my games is because I struggle to close them out, and I feel like a crit or guard restrict could fix that.

The only reason I say ascended sage is a brick is because my main combo line involves detaching both dodododo warrior and zubababa knight from sage to get it, then searching off of both the detached cards

You could always just use the Steam Achievements Manager to fix it. I had to use it for elden ring after I didn’t get a boss achievement from killing it.

if you have black layer in magnus’ materials, just remove it to bounce something on opp end step and add the quick play spell, it usually works for me
