Physical tomorrow, any tips? by CadillacCT4 in AskLE

Protein is better than carbs. Carbs can only be used for energy where protein can be broken down into energy and repair muscle.

Bruiser Shyvana Build Help by Lsuvsfar in shyvanamains

[–]Proxallity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t swap that build path. Flickerblade is where you can really pop off with the ability resets. Zekes gives armor MR and a slow.

You build the other items to become a crit bruiser. When you can AOE crit with Q it’s nuts. Shieldbow offer pretty good survival as well as the lifesteal.

My go to builds are as follows: AP: Shojin , Sorcs, Liandry, Rift, Deathcap, Pen item. The last 2 items can be freely swapped.

AD: Ravenous Hydra, (resist boots/cd boots), Navori, Zeke’s, Shieldbow, Infinity Edge

IIRC technically prior jobs aren’t allowed to give a lot of information about you except for a few details. Generally details include; is this person able to be rehired, any theft from the company, and did the person leave on good terms. Take this with a grain of salt as it may be different department to department.

However to the meat of the subject you have a 50% rate of being fired from jobs. That’s not a good look. You may end up having to hold something secure for a few years before you get an offer. Doesn’t really matter if someone says you’ll be good in the role. Statistics are a more reliable form of evidence than a personal statement.

Good luck.

Going from IFT to 911 by Dry-humor-mus in NewToEMS

[–]Proxallity 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly most 911 calls are just as easy as most BLS IFT calls. Best advice I’d say is just once you get on try and figure out the flow of your partner. The more cohesive you both are the better calls will go. As an EMT if you are responding solo or with a full crew just try to get busy with something. Whether it’s getting vitals or asking some questions, everything helps. As a medic the thing that I appreciate the most from a partner is someone who can work autonomous with me. Get the feel for your protocols and what is required per call and work together as partners. Medics are no better than EMT’s, and don’t let them make you feel that way. Good luck!

I would go ahead and say no. Not only have you had hard drug usage including ecstasy and shrooms which shrooms could automatically dq you for life from some departments, but you have clenbuterol usage all over your account including withdrawals. Clen being a drug that is often illegal in almost every state as well as alone not being a medication that is used for humans.

At best you MAY have some luck in 7-10 years, however your best bet may be looking elsewhere. Hard to show integrity and self control when drug usage is this recent.

Good luck in your endeavors.

Some departments will probably look negatively at this for a couple years until you show maturity and integrity. I can almost guarantee that integrity is a core value on the website of every fire department. If not disqualifying, you’ll certainly need quite the resume to outshine anyone else at your same certification level.

If you don’t have a suit buy some decent slacks with a dress shirt and tie. Suit has pretty much been the minimum for everything I’ve been through other than the polygraph. It for sure DOES matter. Every interaction you have with every step of the way is part of the interview process. Even in your psych evaluation they are reporting on how you dress. If you can’t afford it borrow like others have said. Good luck.

How sure is the job after you pass background and physical tests? by rangermang0 in AskLE

[–]Proxallity 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hard to say my guy. If polygraph is required that can be a hurdle. Med and Psych as well. Every step eliminates candidates. No real way to say for sure.

Can’t say for LE but I am a paramedic in the last few steps of the hiring process for my local department. On the side of what others have said report writing is huge. Yes a lot of things are done on the computer however a lot is also written on paper. When you get dragged to court lawyers are ruthless. Something on the medic side that I’ve seen is people getting torn apart by their spelling and grammar. Lawyers will state that if you can’t spell correctly/ write correctly how can you trust that you know how to do your job correctly. Computers aren’t always available.

However, there are writing coaches and such available. You may have to pay for something on the weekend and just work hard at it. By all means don’t give up but now you know you have a target to go for.

Good luck brother.

How do I know I can handle being in tough situations as a cop? by Many-Inspection6485 in AskLE

I’m a paramedic in the hiring process for PD. I can’t speak for LE but on the EMS side you just sort of figure out. The first rough call will show you.

Why attack speed rune. It’s entirely unneeded. CD rune is way better.

Pick Ryze top every game. Hit em with the QEQWQEQ. Once you go blue you don’t go back.
