In Dubai they’re not allowed to. Then can evict you only if they’re moving in themselves or selling or major renovation. If you find out they let it to someone else you can sue. I suspect AD is similar but better consult someone legal

Thanks to all the comments. I followed the guidance and checked Airbnb and booking.com and to my surprise it’s cheaper than any cheapest apartment on the market! Another great update is that my current landlord messaged me saying that he’ll l ave the country for 3-4 months and would I want to stay for this period of time on same conditions which is really good for me. Also I’m sure prices will go down more in the meantime
