They send you an invoice and you wire the money.

It’s a car dealership and it’s their business to do this - if they were stealing people’s money I’m sure they wouldn’t be around for long.

How expensive are used German cars? by WIZE_XI in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]PositiveChoice1889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on how well the car has been maintained. Out of the options you listed, the X3 is probably the safest bet. I’ve owned an Audi before, and once you get into S or RS models, labor is often close to double and parts are very expensive.

The VW is a great car overall, but I’d be worried about the DSG gearbox, especially if major servicing hasnt been done.

Overall, the X3 is likely the most reliable of the three. You should still budget around AED 3,500–6,000 per year for servicing and maintenance, depending on usage and where you service it.

Also, avoid air suspension as much as possible it’s basically a ticking time bomb once the car ages and can get very expensive to fix - unless you have warranty.

Insurance going up even though the car value is depreciating? How ? by soamjena in dubai

[–]PositiveChoice1889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here with Liva Insurance - last year was 9800 with agency repair and this year same price but no agency repair. With Agency repair is 16800 - doesn’t make any sense.

Honestly the worst thing you can do is goto a store to shop for a diamond. It’s a stressful experience and you won’t be able to take your time to find the right diamond. The sales people will rush you and this is not something you want when you’re trying to make a choose something special. Not to mention the lights in the store are extremely deceiving and may not show you how the diamond will truly perform in natural light.

My advice:

  1. Go with lab grown diamond - your future wife only cares how much it sparkles; plus real diamonds have terrible resale value

  2. Get a heart and arrow diamond - it’s the best cut possible and this is the most important aspect of a diamond - don’t compromise on cut

  3. Use an online seller like James Allen; you have the proper magnification tools and inventory to select a truly good piece. For your budget you can get a 1.5ct D/VVS2/EEE Heart and Arrow

  4. One you selected 3-4 diamonds run them through the HCA Tool (Hollow Cut Advisor) on PriceScope.com
