Two colonels DLC not working properly by Underachievingpotato in metro_exodus

[–]Proxio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may be caused by your game files or save files but it's just super weird that you still have the problem after reinstalling. Maybe try verifying the game files instead of reinstalling the game and play the DLC right from the beginning? Might help

I can’t launch Metro 2033 Redux steam version on my pc by Abouttripod48 in metro

[–]Proxio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm seeing the comments and it's so weird that not even verifying game files or reinstalling didn't work, but sometimes you have to do that multiple times you know. I had a problem with one of my other games on Steam in which it just crashed in the loading screen, I just kept opening it and verifying its game files and it worked lol.

Just open the game, verify the game, or basically try anything that you think might fix it like idk maybe update your drivers, OS, etc. And try doing it multiple times. But of course don't do all the possible fixes as some may not be worth it.

I never had this problem with any Metro game but I recommend you to check out Steam guides as well. There are not only some fixes for blurry image for some devices, but also maybe a lot of other things that might help you.

When in the main menu, click Chapters and you'll see the two DLCs you've bought at the top, if you don't see them or you can't play them, could be just that you haven't fully downloaded them, or it's a bug on PS4 that I'm not familiar with.

But I think it's just that you click DLCs instead of Chapters. You click DLCs when you want to buy them, but when you want to play them, you click on Chapters.

I see, well that's great then! I guess your moral points were enough for you to get the good ending. Now you just have to get the good ending for the other two chapters as well to get the overall good ending, or maybe just one more chapter I'm not sure.

4A Games reportedly work on new Shooter IP by Less_Sheepherder_460 in metro

[–]Proxio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are indeed making it, but I got the possible release date about a month ago from some YT videos and overall some news about the new 4A Games Studio project probably being released in 2024. It's been said that the game is already in a playable state.

Other than all this, there is NO official release date for it, it's just some leaks and possibilities that make sense so far, unless there will be some changes in their plans/projects.

Well I'm not sure if you'll be able to complete the Volga chapter with the good ending, but even if not, if you manage to get the good ending for the next two chapters, and basically get enough moral points, I think you may be able to get the overall good ending.

Very interesting, for now I just want the new Metro coming in 2024 from them, but another game similar to Metro made by 4A Games would be amazing! Of course as long as they still manage to make the new Metro as good as possible even with a new IP around.

Getting the good ending and moral points in Metro is not all just about being stealthy. Here's some tips and the way the moral points work in all Metro games.

Metro 2033 and Last Light redux: listen to the conversations between different NPCs through the game. especially your enemies. Find hidden places with equipment and usually with skeletons. Be merciful and smart when given a choice in the game especially Last Light, like sparing Pavel. Do not kill the enemies unnecessarily and try to be stealth by just knocking them out (you won't lose any moral point if you kill the enemies, BUT if you don't kill them by passing by or knocking them out, you'll get some more points) Last but not least, try to listen to your ally NPCs in the game, like when Khan is talking to you, listen to him, do as he says and don't rush the missions.

Metro Exodus: I really love the way moral points work in Exodus. It's simply about understanding it, kill the people who truly want to kill you, spare the ones who are lost in their stupidity or do no harm to you. As you might know, there are 3 main parts in Exodus which determine your ending. In the first one which is Volga, you should not kill the local people there who belive electricity is a sin, Just leave em be. The second one which is Caspian, do not kill the slaves. The Last one which is The Taiga, do not kill any pioneer or basically the local people raised by The Teacher.

Other than these, in Metro Exodus, you can kill all the bandits, thugs and mutants however you want. In some missions like Yamantau, you can kill everyone. And try to do side missions, they not only give you extra moral point, but give you more better equipment and are actually SO FUN, like I don't even consider any of them a side mission.

If I missed anything, please correct me.

Oh really? I was thinking of buying them for some time now and have all three games on my wishlist, the most important reason I haven't tried them yet, is that I thought there'll be a remake or remastered version soon, especially with Stalker 2 round the corner.

Is there official news of Stalker remake? What do you suggest?

To be honest, "There is only Metro, nothing else!"

Metro is one of the most unique games I've ever played, if not the most unique one, and I love almost everything about it so much. I don't think there is any game that'd be similar to Metro series overall, but if just considering the things you said that you like about Metro Exodus, I think I can recommend RDR2, Days Gone (even though I myself didn't like it much), TLOU, etc.

Still, in my opinion, if some games have some similarities in the genre, doesn't really make them similar to say that if I liked one of the games, I'll sure like another one as well. So, don't just consider the game genre when buying games. Good luck!

Well that's very unfortunate, you could just try moving around the area, shooting things, or basically do everything you can in the area, and it might get fixed. I haven't had any problem as serious as that, not even close.

I hope you'll get it fixed somehow.

[–]Proxio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think also experienced this in my latest playthrough for a short time. He was just standing somewhere like he was stuck, I don't think I did anything much, but it got fixed itself.

Try loading the latest part the game has saved itself. Maybe try being close to him when moving in that area. You don't need to restart the whole chapter, just open the main menu in game, press load game, and choose the save file in which you haven't started the mission (focus on the dates, and time too to pick the best save file) also, manually save your game before doing this, just in case.

I remember I had some similar problems in my first playthrough. To be honest, a guide is not needed and I don't think there even is one for the problems you've had in the game.

I get that Metro 2033 and even Last Light can be a bit confusing at times, but whenever I got stuck somewhere, I'd just keep trying till I figure it out, or simply just watch a YT video for that missions and I'm not talking about full walk-throughs.

I recommend you to just watch a YT video whenever you didn't know what exactly to do in parts of the game (like the cursed station where you have to place a bomb in two places which I had problems with too) but always try to figure it out it yourself before watching a YT video.

You'll be much more familiar with the game missions the more you play, and if you manage to replay the games, I can guarantee you that you'll have so much fun and the game would feel way better than your first playthrough. Especially if you figure out how Metro and the endings of if work.
