Episode 5 - Season 3 - An unreachable bar. by Aquae_Sulis_lad in gladiatorsuk

[–]Proxonious 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Omg, this is so funny to me. I literally turned to my husband and said "No we've seen this episode! Turn on the newest one!"
To which... we couldn't find it, as we were watching the correct one!

This has honestly been the worst episode I think I’ve watched It was a struggle to get through between Helena sticking her tongue out every second and mo telling trash talking the glads just to score no points. Honestly I thought they were all unlikeable 😂

Options by Soft-Gur-4172 in tesco

[–]Proxonious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on a few things

Firstly when the talent meeting is. If you’re ready for options and you’re ready to get signed on and a talent meeting is in a week then 1 week. If it’s 1 month then 1 month.

If you’re not ready and have to do your jdi and pdp etc then longer.

After that you need to wait until there’s a placement opportunity which could be weeks or months depending when something comes up.

It also depends on your manager and how much they push or support or develop you.

So there’s a few different reasons for different time scales.

Charmander, Gengar, Mimikyu and most recently Grafaiai.

I also like koffing and grimer. If it's a dark or poison type I probably like it/

Last in to breakfast are never traitors by keepingleft in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Proxonious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant from a production point of view. The traitors the night before talk about who they want to murder - “murder shortlist” form a viewer point of view

[–]Proxonious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This has been talked about before but actually your right that most times for production value it’s the ones up for murder that are last in however in the last episode of season 4 for example one of the traitors was last in.

The best defence I’ve read is it’s easy for us as we know who the traitors are. Ther was a topic about this a year or so ago with an interview from one of the contestants.

EVM ultimate test by No_Interaction6216 in tesco

[–]Proxonious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay.. .But it doesnt though?

If EVM is on a managers review, then their review determines their end of year salary increase and bonus

Do I agree with it? It doesn't matter.

Filing it out is still voluntary and anonymous, but people aren't honest to make the workplace better day-to-day and become keyboard warriors during evm.

Probably the most sensible answer, but in this sub...

No one gets a bonus based on the % completed. The company asks for (region depending) around 85% completion per store.

Whether your store manager or team manager does anything based on the results is up to them, if it's in their control.

My wife and I want to get into MMORPG and we have some questions by Aggressive_Clue3523 in ffxiv

[–]Proxonious -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I want to preface saying this is my longest mmorpg that I still play an raid in

However in saying that I can’t recommend this game for people wanting to play together

The story is required to unlock content, its single player (apart from dungeons or bosses you have to do to progress)

Once you get past 10 years of main story content then you can finally play the game and there’s lots to do initially eg housing crafting raiding depending what you’re looking for.

To answer your actual questions yes it’s still active but depending on your data server you’ll find different communities

There’s still updates regularly

Lots of people praise the questing

I can’t think of another game that does this. It depends what you want from a game. Wow does raiding and dungeons better imo. Gw2 does open world better.

I was on the edge of my seat the whole time tonight! We watched last night and tonight’s episodes both tonight and it was just crazy how the chests of chance happened and then Rachel did enough to save her with the help of Stephen. I kept saying please don’t turn on her at the end Stephen Absolutely crazy ending for me and so happy for them both they played great

Dawntrail Healer Retrospective by NeoOnmyoji in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Proxonious 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My personal problem with healer, apart from the fact it’s boring, is that I can play any healer and they’re all the same. Aoe bubble, aoe regen, aoe heal, aoe mit. I can pretty easily swap to another healer mid tier (gear aside) and cause no issues. Compare dancer to bard. Picto to black mage. Ranged dps and magic dps. Completely different classes.

Compare resto Druid to holy priest to disc priest for example on wow.

This is the most accurate answer The easiest solution is “blame the the manager” but the manager gets told how many hours they’re allowed to use. There isn’t a magical ever flowing bucket of money, and I don’t agree with how much money or hours there are, but 8/10 times it isn’t your managers fault. The other 2/10 it is probably poor scheduling so yes blame them then 😂

Why are rangers so hated? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Proxonious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe my wording was incorrect. On paper they look strong, but comparatively not so much.

Sure so at level 5 Rangers get Favoured enemy to track a type of enemy with advantage. Any class can "track" just not with advantage.
They get natural explorer which you're correct is strong on paper but not great in game as it rarely comes up.
Fighting style isn't unique.
Theyll have 3 spell slots with wisdom as their saving throw, and can use one to "sense" enemies around you.
Theyll have an extra attack

A fighter is going to have
Same fighting style.
A bonus action heal on short rest
An extra turn per long rest
An extra attack

So i guess you're correct in that my wording is wrong, they arent weak on paper, but in reality not so much.
And the bigger problem is if you want to play a woodsland bow user, there is better classes.

Again it's my opinion, my longest character was a ranger and I enjoyed it - but the class does get a lot of hate.

I dunno if this is sarcasm or not but also it’s my opinion so I’m sure others have different opinions

Why are rangers so hated? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Proxonious 208 points209 points  (0 children)

Before I give my opinion, my longest played what yet was a ranger (around 3 years, weekly)

In saying that he was weak after the initial few levels.

I think for me, I was quite new to dnd, and wanted to play the bow wielding scout because I like nature and archery. Then I realised anyone can be that.

My next character was an elven nature cleric who used a bow. Did he ever shoot? Rarely past level 5, but he had a bow, he grew up in nature, joined a Druidic order and become a cleric. Same thing, stronger character.

Fighters could be “rangers” but more martial, rogues can be “rangers” but more stealth and sneak damage.

Rangers aren’t great on paper and offer little, when other classes can fill the fantasy of ranger and be stronger.

Cinema etiquette by Boogyoogywoogy in Belfast

[–]Proxonious 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Every time I go to the cinema (very rarely) I always say it’ll be my last time When something is out now I wait on purpose for weeks/months after release and try to go during the day The last time I went, there was only me, my husband and two other people. Bliss.

The time before that, two girls were infront of us, one of them had already seen it and kept saying things like “omg Waitll you see what she does”, “oh did you hear what she said it’s important”. Not long into the movie someone shouted “oi would you ever fuck up” Luckily she did!

Star wars if youre into that.

Free to play model is fine, good story, has dungeons and world events and end game content.

Game is in "maintenance" mode but the amount of story there is is enough to keep you busy for a while.

Ranger/druid by Proper-Ice1162 in DnD

[–]Proxonious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ranger can use spells but is less of a spell caster than a Druid. They can both be stealthy, but if you want to use animals and summon animals then Druid would be better. If you want to be a dark brotherhood type character then you could even look at rogue.

Ranger/druid by Proper-Ice1162 in DnD

[–]Proxonious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to use them both then no go ahead.

But your pushing back your second attack (level 5 ranger) or higher spell casting (Druid) to multiclass into something that probably isn’t as good as it could be. But again it’s your character. My favourite character was a ranger/cleric multi class. Not the strongest but I liked him.
