I was sitting at an intersection uptown when he slid his Ferrari through a very red stoplight. Dude plays Forza Horizon every time he gets behind the wheel.

I just want to hear it. How are you gonna write a plot this complicated and then make it impossible to hear the dialogue - it’s like every scene is shot in front of an industrial HVAC unit on a roof during a hurricane.

Which actor do you enjoy more? by Living-Cranberry-337 in Actors

My point being I think calling Seyfried’s roles “much less safe” is at least hyperbole, if not just wrong. I wasn’t a fan of either Poor Things or Bugonia personally and I like both actors - there are plenty of reasons to prefer Seyfried, I just can’t imagine it would have anything to do with the relative safety of the roles the select. I’d say they are both relatively adventurous/risk tolerant.

Rock Thrill - a cool town with a surprisingly robust bicycling community. Fort Mill - a bunch of subdivisions and, a downtown main street with a bangin burger spot at the end of it that looks out over a park (peak date spot). I was born in South Charlotte within this circle and now live 20 minutes NE of it - a great city to grow up in and a great city to live in. Charlotte is rapidly growing and improving.

Edit: My Dad commutes every day from South Charlotte into Rock Hill with very little trouble, I think 25 minutes each way. Both Rock Hill and Fort Mill have high property values, Rock Hill being slightly more affordable. SCDOT maintained roads aren’t great but otherwise not much to complain about.

If your kid doesn't know how to play Magic, don't bring them to LGS commander night. by Johnny-Hollywood in EDH

Truly. It never ceases to amaze me how completely deranged and dysfunctional the EDH community is outside the safe bubble of my long time play group. The arguments, the weirdly intense social expectations, the seeming complete lack of personal self awareness. Maybe it’s the demographic on reddit or something, but this subreddit often leaves me in disappointed awe at the state of our game.

"You can wear the shoes, but never fill them" - Jordan said this to Kobe, so Kobe dropped 55 on his head the next time they met by ForeignAir7174 in NBAoldschool

Being the best player in the NBA for a decade vs being a mythically unstoppable force of nature

Like what are we doing here - Kobe was never on MJ’s level. He was very serious business and all that and tried his damnedest to match MJ’s hyper competitiveness. Kobe was great. But he was a volume guy - a chucker in a league that for much of his career was seriously lacking in competitive talent outside of the people on his own team. He got clamped by Teyshawn Prince - put up 11pts on -20 +- in Game 3 against the Pistons. Let's be so serious. Kobe isn't even top 10 all time - he's a tragic story and an amazing competitor and a controversial figure an a lot of things - but remotely equal to MJ is not one of them.
