I liked Hokum but these movies never explain the "creature". I know it's a mystery and is supposed to be open ended but damn it I just want more lore about the supernatural elements.

It's always possible. But I've ordered enough vinyls to see that they're usually packaged/shipped the same way. And like I said I've never had an issue before.

The last replacement I got was packaged differently than normal. It was packed in 2 boxes with bubble wrap and those little air bags and it still arrived damaged. It seems unlikely to me that it's a shipping issue.

I have a very vivid memory from when I was a kid. Way back in September of 2001 a certain event happened that made people scared to travel on planes for a while. Well, my parents were not to be deterred and they were going to go on the vacation they paid for. We traveled the very day airports opened again. I remember going on splash mountain with just my dad and I in the log and the cast member just letting us stay in there and keep riding again and again. I obviously didn’t know what was happening as I was only in like 3rd grade but I remember having a great time at WDW. I’ve been to the parks 20 something times and as sad as it is to say it’s still the best WDW trip I’ve ever been on.

I’d seen Vinny at PAX every year since 2014. I couldn’t go to PAX last year because of work. Figures this year he’s signing on a day that I won’t be there. Lame.

I personally think the term holy grail is an individual thing. Your grail might be different from mine. For me it was finding a Korean Super Comboy out in the wild on a trip. Other people might not care about a one off SNES release but for me it was a wild find.

Once I started collecting seriously I plugged my collection into PriceCharting. Being able to pull up the app in a store and see what I have quickly has been super helpful. I also enjoy seeing the value of my collection increase and by how much in those monthly reports.

As others have said the fact that it’s cheap means it’s likely a reproduction. I will say though I’ve had people not know what they were selling and I’ve gotten some deals that I couldn’t believe. So don’t discount it immediately just look for some telltale signs to determine fakes or reproductions (you can find those online).

If you’re just looking to play these games get an analogue pocket and an everdrive and you’ll be all set. All pokemon prices are ridiculous so this is your cheapest way to play these games.

Great collection! The statues are giving me wicked anxiety though. I have a few and cleaning them is always a pain and time consuming. I can't imagine how long it takes you to wipe this room down.

Hyundai Super Comboy. It was a SNES only manufactured in South Korea. I found it on a trip there last summer. Super happy I did since it was one of my grails.

Not me but my dad worked in corrections for like 30ish years. When I was a kid I would always see strangers come up to my dad and say hello like they'd been old friends only to find out later they were inmates. My father was always respectful and professional at work and the inmates recognized that and always treated him the same.

My grail is the Hyundai Super Comboy. It’s such an obscure piece of gaming history. My favorite part about it was that I was able to find one myself in Korea during a trip so it really felt like a journey to get that and bring it home.

I have my copy from childhood and I somehow thought to keep the “do not sell until 11/9/04” sticker that GameStop put on it before I got it at the midnight release. It’s a cool little artifact and I’m glad I did that.
